Junk seriously?? was created by AvR
@admin and mods, I made a post yesterday: "vote for my girlfriend guys, your very last chance" as a joke on Logan 87 who posted it twice already. I really thought it would give some of the guys who already read those two threads a good laugh. My thread was not even on for very long and was just sent straight to the junk bin.

From the time I spent on this forum I have seen that most guys, including admin and mods have a good sense of humor. I would just like to know why this was moved to the junk section. I did not post any links or break any of the forum rules (not that I’m aware of anyway). It was posted in the general section after all where you can talk about anything.

Please don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to be hard ass or anything, I love the forum and website and think you guys do a great job. I would just like to know where I went wrong with that post.

I moved it, ye it was funny, but didn't really serve a purpose on the board.

There is a place and a time for everything, but the "vote for my girlfriend" thing was getting old and not funny anymore.

Rather wait for the next chop to make his appearance here and then we will have something new to joke about.

Okay, cool. I can respect that. It probably did't serve a purpose besides being a joke...

Thanks pump!

i wouldn't be supprised, after I see that outsurance pointsmen have now been pulled off the street, because they feel it now needs to go to tender, WTF!!!!! tender for a sponsorship from talk radio and outsurance? they saying no because of the advertising it gets, they spend over a bar a month on keeping this whole joll going on...

Yella I get mal hey, i sometimes just want to give some people a flat hand and ask them to rather worry about more important things in this country than this petty crap, and things like street name changing.. now i must sit for 2 hours to get to work because some light was out because we don't have the system in place to reset the traffic lights when it cuts for a few seconds, it just flashes red..

You know R2.2 billion has been budgeted for the 2011 census circus... I'm sure there are better things to spend it on...

The next time you hear an SA politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you wanted the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its press releases:
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E. A billion Rand ago was only 27 hours and 12 minutes at the rate our SA government is spending it.

That is shocking, but tired of complaining about it, need to find a way to stop this corruption.

I am furious that the outsurance pointsman have been taken off. They are one of the few if not the only really beneficial initiative that positively effects traffic flow in so many ways. How often are robots out of order....it baffles me the number reported every morning. It all comes down to faulty control panels that run the traffic lights and I can't see why the Joburg Traffic department cannot install robust healthy control systems that have no glitches. You don't see these kind of failures in mining/manufacturing industry where the control panels/systems that run big motors HAVE to be 100% efficient or R1000s will be lost for every minute of outage. It is just so typical, they find the one thing that is working brilliantly and manage to fuck it up.
