Those arent what you think they are. Read on - they are for wrestling. Like Kai wears and i suppose you get a good feel for calves etc but weightlifting shoes are way different.

yeah, know which ones you are talking about. but you get weightlifting shoes looking like those also. flat heel not the raised wooden heel. looking for the ones Kai wears yes.

Got any idea jr?

@Etwa I know this is not what you looking for but maybe when you see them you might change your mind. I know that those wooden wedge type lifting shoes look lank old school and like you have a problem with your feet but these are from Nike and Reebok etc and look really awesome.

tips...
1) do not use shoes with air cushions, seriously I pop them the first time I do legpress with them.
2)prefferably get ones that are full leather (the perforated material on normal running shoes nick and tear in the gym)

I agree... and would never wear them out, but when looking for gym shoes... looks is not really something to worry about, rather functionality.

I wear the flatest shoes possible when i train. I find its more comfortable compared to something with a thick sole. Would'nt know how it will affect powwrlifting though.

Theres a shop in Sunninghill village that sells MMA stuff. They have the full range of Everlast boxing shoes. They look similar to that first pic.
