A frequent need to urinate at night is called nocturia. Most people can sleep for 6 to 8 hours without having to urinate. Middle aged and older men often wake to urinate once in the early morning hours.
Causes
Together, frequent and urgent urination are classic signs of a urinary tract infection.
Diabetes, pregnancy, and prostate problems are other common causes of these symptoms.
Other causes include:
* Anxiety
* Enlarged prostate
* Interstitial cystitis
* Medicines such as diuretics
* Overactive bladder syndrome
* Prostatitis (infection of the prostate gland)
* Stroke and other brain or nervous system diseases
* Tumor or mass in the pelvis
* Urinary incontinence
* Vaginitis
Less common causes:
* Bladder cancer
* Bladder dysfunction
* Radiation therapy to the pelvis, used to treat certain cancers
Drinking too much before bedtime, especially caffeine or alcohol, can cause frequent urination at nighttime. Frequent urination may also simply just be a habit.
Go see a doc and find the problem

Well, are you drinking lots of liquids at night? Wat time do u train? At one stage, i was using a couple of things in the evening before training(pre, intra and a post workout shake(with stimulants)) and i had the problem of havin to get up and pee...esp when the stuff has caffeine in it, your body just wants to get rid of the caff so once u down some water, you gotta pee....

@wayne - i train at 17h00. yes, drink a pre workout (jack3d), intra workout i drink vpx powershock (i think) with about 700ml water, and then post workout also. before bed i drink another protein shake.
I assume to much liqued before bed? Isnt there something to counter this? Spunge tablets maybe...
And no, i am not on a cycle...

How many times a night, if its once or max twice that's normal with the amount you would drink with your PWO drink + protein shakes + water during gym, etc.

Yeah i experience that a lot when I'm on creatine when I have to drink vast amounts of water.

Ja, it's a catch 22, creatine causes you to hold water, and due to that you need to drink more water, because your body is actually dehydrated due to that as strange as that may sound. Don't take creatine if you don't drink enough water or your kidneys are not going to be happy, and this is actually how some people get kidney stones..
