How do some bodybuilders get that DRY and GRAINY look??
Is it from intense dieting and dedication, maybe maturity of the muscle??

that grainy look is achieved by dehydration,the lack of water makes the skin much thinner thus showing more definition,obviously you still have to have strong hard muscles and be very low on carbs and have a very low bodyfat.
i know lots of guys who try get that look your talking about but the thing they dont understand is that those guys build up to that level all year just for that one day where they are shredded to the bone.
correct me if im wrong but its impossible or very unhealthy to look that dry and ripped all year round..

it all depends on calorie intake and macro nutrient ratio,i have been working with a guy who competed this year at 72kg, he is now tipping the 90kg mark and at 9% body fat still has abs showing!

DJ, is it muuuuuuuuuuuuch harder tho to stay lean and build a lot of quality muscle like u talking about your client now??
Or does it all depend on that whole macro nutrient thing? need to do a little research about what macro nutrients are about tho!lol

and come on dj thats my excuse as to why i dont have chiseled abs,lol but in thoery if you are eating more calories than you are burnin then u should put on some extra fat,not true?
