Too much?
Too much, avoid incrimination by those who don't get the steroid joke but everyone who's in the AAS community will get it. If someone not in the know inquires about the design or logo, the shirt wearer explains it's an online community that supports responsible "research chemical" augmentation. And if the shirt is blatant you are going to get kicked out of the gym. VA is pushing hard on anti-drug use and the staff will not hesitate to escort you out. I've had problems with "bold statements" on a t-shirt of mine before. The only place I'd risk wearing it again is alternative venues at night lololol.
Let me explain the play on words. "Premium Motor Oil" insinuates injectable gear, "naturally aspirated" refers to car engines that do not have super/turbo-chargers IE they are not "enhanced", but aspiration is a term steroid users know well from the pinning precaution practice, so it's a paradox if you think about it. And of course "South African Muscle" because patriotism, also muscle refers to skeletal muscle tissue AKA gainz, and also the performance car, muscle cars.
I think the web address is too much as it contains the words "anabolic steroids" therefore a direct reference, but I want to put the site's logo on the left chest, as soon as I get a HQ image of it - the one on the header gives me shit results if I auto-vector it and if I manually redraw it, it'll be inacurate to a small degree.
Of course I'm just one voice, didn't mean to shoot you down Jono, just getting amped up and didn't explain my thoughts clearly earlier.

That "circle thing" is a weight plate for those that didn't see it... I thought of a cog-wheel (gear) but that would be really blatant.

Ok, so the problem seems to be the word "steroids" and the address on the shirts.
I didn't realize that the possible social implications the word "steroids" on a shirt might have would cause such negative views.
Like Netro said, we can remove the site name and address and maybe put a general bodybuilding slogan on the front with the logo. The idea was to attract people to the site so that they can learn what we are all about and that steroids should not be viewed in the same way as recreational drugs.
To be honest, I don't give a fuck what people might say to or think about me if I would wear a shirt like this, but I also realize that my skin is very thick and that I'm kind of a rebel. BTW. The cops can't do shit to you if you wear a shirt like this... you can wear a "I support the Taliban" shirt and nobody can do anything about it.
I think that the shirts could look very good if we fix the text... the graphics are very good and there is no way that anyone can make anything better as there are many limitations on the design specifications. You can't just print anything... the graphics have to be designed in a vector format and with a maximum of 4 colors. If anyone can make something better in vector that is only 4-bit color, I will supply you with anabolics for a year.
Also keep in mind that the printers have to make a kind of stencil that only lasts a couple of hours, so it is very expensive and we have to pay for two because we are planning to print on both sides.
I've had some very high quality shirts in mind, but it turned out that you will have to pay something like R150 to R180 per shirt and I doubt anyone wants to pay that much for a shirt with a testosterone logo on the back.
Please give recommendations with your criticism so that we know what you would like and not only what we're doing wrong.
Any ideas?
Hey Admin,
Perhaps if you would be willing go through with this we'd better speak in private. I do have comments and inputs regarding the printing process, don't have hook-ups for apparel but I could easily investigate suppliers I've talked to in the past. I realize this is an ancient thread, but so far we've gotten keen feedback so far.

Hey, all just ideas at this moment. The logo goes on all of them in the front left chest area, I just didn't have a vector for the first two when I made them yesterday.

The reason the t-shirts never happened was because the minimum orders back then were too big from the printing company and I had to order at least one batch of each size and I wasn't convinced that they would sell. We always had allot of interests on the forum, but as soon as you start counting people you realize that they are actually not that many.
I believe it would be easier to produce small scale batches these days due to increased competition and better printing technologies. If you are interested in producing some I'll sell them for you.

Thanks Admin, the image from your original post was removed so I had no very little to go on, but here is my design philosophy when it comes to shirts:
Few colours as possible - easier to print, brings costs down, uncomplicated designs
Bold and simple - Easily seen and interpreted, fine details get lost quickly especially with distance from the viewer, striking.
Quick strawpoll to determine actual number of interested members/shirts: strawpoll.com/5g111z6

Aye, especially since silk-screen printing came out, print quality is dramatically improved (the prints last forever and not prone to cracking off). Some rules stay the same, like it's better to send the batch as a whole vs. many orders because of the screen stencils.
