Just wanted to say a special thanks for you advising that I go so a chiropractor, I have now gone for hmm, 5 session I believe and my body has never felt better. I have learnt some very useful techniques in balance and how to keep my body aligned.
The chiropractor identified that it was actually gout in my toe and then I had to explain my diet, etc. He noticed the high levels of protein I am consuming and tomato mix I put into nearly every mean could/is playing a part in this and then the click on the bed caused the inflammation. He also said said the strain of my surgery could have aided into the formation of those crystals. I have been flushing my body with water to help dilate my urine and get rid of some of this uric acid. The point where he pinned it to gout was the fact that I couldn't even have a sheet touch my toe it was so painful.
I had to do a few techniques to get movement into the toe by trying to scrunch up a cloth on the group and lift it up to picking up coins with my toe. For my ankle I had to do the alphabet in the air (capital letters only)
The greatest of all of this was learning how to breath properly and move away from this shallow short breaths to learning how to breath from my stomach. Why this has been a wonder for me is that my blood pressure has never been this low in my life and I have still not got back to gym yet. Last night blood pressure on 126 of 67, normally after a gym session I can drop as much as 10/20 points on my systolic depending on where my BP was before the training. So this means if I where to add some anaerobic exercises in to my training next week.
I recommend everyone see a chiropractor even if you feel your body is functioning correctly I can assure you he/she will find tension in your body and find parts of the body that doesn't have proper joint movement.
This is also the first time in I can't think how long I am able to sleep like a brick at night.
Anyone in Durban I recommend to speak to spike and if anyone is in JHB I can refer you to the doctor I have been working with. For those of you in CPT don't worry you have the mountain

As always I will give you a natural approach to help fight a gout attack if ever somebody gets one, you can just go to the pharmacy and ask for a gout cocktail or you can relieve the pain with 1 of the following or combined herbal/natural ways.
The first would definitely be ice! So
- Ice
- Black cherry juice
- Black cohash
- Buchu tea
- Cayenne pepper can aid with pain
- Apple cider vinegar
- Hawrthorn
- Alfalfa
- Baking soda (but be careful with this one)
Thanks again spike!
