I have not had this procedure personally, but have feedback from a couple of patients I had to refer for it. Without going into specifics, I can say that if your rehabilitation after surgery is good, you will recover extremely well. This is assuming that you are getting the surgery for the right reason in the first place! Make sure that you get a second or even a third opinion. Also, get hold of a good biokineticist that is experienced in spinal rehabilitation to take care of the rehab for you. I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Thanks D. Opp had to be done as there was a pretusion of almost a cm that broke.
Did get a second opinion, not looking forward to the road ahead, but I don't want to let myself go if I can get back to where I was.

Just remember to take it slowly. And rehab, rehab, rehab.
That will be the difference between you getting back to full activity levels or not.
When was the op done? Do you still feel any symptoms?

Hi andre300

I had one EXACTLY, to the day a year ago. I even posted my MRI pics on the forum!

Yes you can get back with proper training and exercises, its a long road though and if you start too quick you can hurt yourself badly.

Worst for me was to FORGET 10years of gym training and start new. If you need some guidence let me know and I'll help where I can.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've given myself 4 months to recover and properly rehabilitate and get my core muscles jacked up.

Would really appreciate any advice as I don't see myself not training again, but with that said I don't wan to jerpardise my future physically as I am onle 29.

Make that 6months. I only started lifting again in October - and lifted as much as my girl does. Core muscles are super important! Drop me a mail if you feel like it.

Main advise is get proper bioketics and focus on core exercises first 3 months. Forget about keeping your current shape. Months 4-6 start lifting but if you find you can do something easier increase the reps and not the weight. I never went over 100kg bench press till Desember last year.

Stay away from squats, deadlift, running, treadmills, even weighted walking, any twisting movements, powerplates and behind neck press for ever unless something is chasing you!

Morning Diazepam, can't say that there has been a remarkable improvement
The doc says it can take a while, a guy that was done the same day then and same opp says he is feeling like a new person.
Doing my core exercises , but must say it feels like waste of my time. Starting physio next and will start planning my rehab with them.

Thanks for the interest

Hi Bro, I`m sorry to hear that you are not 100% happy. Just persevere mate. You are in a position now where you must keep a clear head and think logically, not with your emotions. Keep up with the exercises and make sure you do everything that you can 100% right. Good luck and keep me posted!

Do you mean the physical injury itself?
In my case i had a cusion between 2 vertabre that has thinned, somehow this caused 2 vertabre to stress one another and the one was damaged, i think due to improper lifting technique, so my rehab will have to be with a biokanetist, spelling sucks, cause i cant se myslelf not training

shit dude, thats just crazy!!!!

I know it doesn't make it better but most of us are not lucky and land up with some or other health issue. Admin was biten by a snake so he has a messed up liver, my body is broken so I strugle to take gear and be healthy...

i'm glad you have some sort of solution in mind and are going forward. people comment as to why I use a belt so much, and it's because of just that, 1 lift not done properly can end your training for good, i'm rather safe than sorry, I strap everything.

sorry to hear about once again!
