Howzit guys,

I'm new to forums but seem I recognize a few of the guys on here which I could swear use to be on bodybuilder.co.za's forum before they got hacked and who knows what else.

For anybody really interested in my stats and goals here's some background:

Weight: 98kg
Height: 1.78m
BF %: Around 15% right now

I was on my way to compete in my first IFBB show about 2 years ago when I torn my chest apart while benching with pretty light weights but a wrong angle or movement. Long story short... Got set back badly with the injury and 2 operations and endless sickness due to my weak immune system so bad I fell back to 84kg.

Today I'm looking forward and manage to gain back over 14kgs in just over 6 weeks all with proper nutrition around 5000 calories a day and a lot of hard training keeping my rep ranges between 8-4 reps. So yeah I'm looking to bulk up to 110kg then cut down to compete again late next year, not sure which show yet.

I'm looking forward to learn from everybody than seems to have the same passion... bodybuilding, nutrition and the science around the sport.

Big up to Netro for the help and pretty much indirectly got me to this forum.

Snaper.

You injury sound seriously painful..

Never fraternize with them as equals, never accept them as your social equals or they will devour you, they will destroy you.

Hey, welcome dude.

Re. your injury, was it a torn muscle or tendon.
What were you using at the time of the injury.

I'm curious as I heard that rapid strength gains open you up to these kind of injuries, especially tendons. Apparently made worse by potent AAS like A-Bombs. cos the tendons can't keep pace with the strength gains.

true, tore my shoulder ligaments ala he-man style bout 2 yrs ago. Never been the same again after that, struggle with some movements and u can actually hear the joint clap in the socket

Nothing worth doing is ever easy.

To be honest I don't think I was using anything at that specific time. However it was just shortly after a Test Cyp and Dianabol cycle that I complete not to long before I got the injury. It could be due to the rapid strength back then, nothing is impossible. But it wasn't tendonitis, as was physically ripped apart; scary enough I could hear the muscle torn. It's a shitty injury to recover from as you can't hold anything with a bit of weight in your upper body, that all with pretty light weights (2 x 15kg plates a side).
