Buying iPod in the USA

Hi Guys & girl,

I'm leaving for the USA next week on business and would like to buy myself an iPod there. The only question is will it work here and will the software be compatible?

I know there's quite a bit of technical guys on this forum so I’m sure I’ll get a reliable answer.

Will work 100%. My girlfriends dad brought her back one in December. Only shit thing at the time it was the latest one and we couldn't get any covers but thats sorted now aswell. So go for it

The iPod will work in any country,but the iPhone is normally locked to the network which sells it to you,and it can be very costly,and sometimes impossible to get the iPone unlocked to work on other networks.

there was a news report about grey products been imported into the country and the fact that the "genuine" distributers of the products won`t support the stuff in regards to repairs and spares even though the product is bought from a genuine dealer overseas. The product itself is not grey but the import method is. Completely monopolistic but thats the way things work....
