Hey forum family. How is everyone? Happy 2023!

What are some of your goals this year? I see Empire is turning into the Hulk. I'm trying to get fit enough to surf my first cyclone swell in 15 years.

Hope you all get the iron goals you after! Remember to stay pumped!

That's a lekka goal, because it branches deep and can vary depending upon where you need to tweak it. I also had a baby boy last Friday, so I should add being a patient dad *SHABOOOM*

Happy New Year guys!

That's great news 00pump, I didn't know your wife was pregnant. Awesome that you managed to sort your hormones out and get her knocked up again. It was such a relief after my second kid to stop worrying about firing blanks.

I'm on a getting healthier mission so have been on a low 100mg TRT dose for quite a while with a different training program which got my BP, heart rate and hematocrit down to the best it's been in 10 years. So I'm pretty happy about that.

Now to build the best version of myself this year.

Wishing you guys health, wealth and success for 2023.

Power goals bru. What type of training did you find helped bring that down?

Ya its a relief, now I don't need to worry about fertility again, way to consuming.

You found a happy ground on the 100? I think I'm on around 150 now, hardly making "gains" but my priorities are different, purely looking to feel healthier for the years I am alive 🤣

My lower BP and hemotocrit is mostly down to the lower test dose. I had a difficult ±5 weeks adjusting to the 100mg. Could feel it in my CNS and energy but its ok now. It's lower than I'd like for maintaining optimal muscle, but my heart it is happier. I think I'll run 100mg half the year and and do blasts twice a year with some other anabolics and see how the bloodwork and BP holds up.

I've added HITT training twice a week with assault bike or sprints on my MTB. Never used to do cardio but I want to do some preventative maintenance on my heart. Also some low weigh, high intensity weighted lunges, renegade rows, etc various lighter weight stuff targetting 90% of max heart rate, and then rest or low intensity until heart rate is around 105bpm and then smash it again. Also still doing powerlifting stuff low volume, low reps 3x a week for 30 mins to maintain strength.

Strength is down 10 - 15% from when I'm on a blast but all good.

Crazy how even low dose over a long period of time starts to take its strain.  Are you donating frequently too? I can't go longer than the minimum 50 whatever days without blood volume going up, as well as iron store.

Hows the rest of the of the body doing, kidneys / pancreas / cholesterol . When you felt the CNS take strain, was that mental health, mood, libido, energy or your immune system too?

Nice tricks there, I see you know your body well

Hope 2023 is a great year for everybody.

I am quite happy with my physique, just maintaining what i have gained over the last couple of years.

Training 4 days a week, but no program, working on area's that require a little more attention

Howdy all, happy new(-ish) year 😆

Geez, to say the last two years have been rough... Well sure everyone has their own war stories.
But, onwards and upwards. Gymn not a reality for me due to life, but, after a 20 year hiatus, I've started up Jits again. Suffice to say I'm 20 years older and less (A LOT LESS) flexible 😜. But rolling 2 to 3 times a week sees you coming off the mat literally sweat pouring down. Anyone want a good strength and cardio workout, believe me, I had forgotten how intense it is. Just a warning, It doesn't matter if you have a 6th Dan in karate or boxing etc, if you've never done Jits/grappling/ wrestling before - You are going to be clueless and useless. Give it time.
And most importantly, leave the ego at the door.

Also going to try spearfish some more and getting to the deeper stuff. Hopefully weather and Poseidon play along

Good judgement comes from experience.

Sounds intense, I've never tried it. How risky is injuries , seems it could be pretty high?

Jits/grappling/ wrestling is the best style of MMA. Fact that you can leave the ego at the door LOL !

So that big swell came quicker than I anticipated. My first cyclone swell in over 15 years, was super scary, got held under for long periods but super fit at the moment. Got some rad photos too. My goal will be to push my fitness levels even further through the year and be able to surf with little anxiety of drowning.

Injuries are fairly common.
It does depend on a few factors, but I would say I get more injured from it than almost any other sport I have done in my life.

It is an incredibly fun workout though. Interesting to work against the guys because I am physically stronger and they have better technique, so its a good reflection of how effective it is.

When I started I was surprised at how damn sore my adductors were.
