Shawn Rhoden charged with rape - Out of Mr Olympia

This really sucks for the Olympia... How is the timing of this. She reported it to police and had DNA testing done last October, yet it only comes out now, 9 months later. 9 months to issue an arrest warrant?

Bodybuilding superstar Shawn Rhoden -- the 2018 Mr. Olympia winner -- has been charged with 1st degree rape in Utah after allegedly sexually assaulting a female bodybuilder in 2018.Rhoden has been hit with multiple criminal charges including felony rape, object rape and forcible sexual assault.

This all sounds very fishy I agree.
This hysteria of accusing people is getting out of hand.

If Shawn is proved innocent, then the accusers need to see jailtime

David Pecker sounds like a tool. Such an emotional and hysterical response that does nothing positive for the Olympia or any of the athletes.

I see the new trend when it comes to sex crimes, or crimes that touch on the whole gender debate in the US is to lambast the 'offender' to such an extent that, if perchance he is proven innocent, there's not much of a reputation to stand on anymore. SO much for innocent until proven guilty.

I'm not defending Rhoden. If he's guilty let courts do what they need to. It doesn't look good, to be honest. But to make such vilifying claims that he will never compete again and strip him of his title, etc. Wait until a fucking court verdict is given you imbecile.

Yup, giving him a life time ban without a verdict is pathetic.. As the law states innocent until proven guilty. And I know the crimes are completely different but you have an entire competition that is using illegal drugs, but they can dictate what law is right and what is wrong. All is wrong in the eyes of the law.

So Shaun Rhoden passed 2 lie detector tests about the alleged sexual assault.

His accuser Krechelle Hymas also doesn't have such a rosey past, having being convicted for bank fraud in 2010.

I'm glad that was leaked. I don't condone any of that behavior, but I've seen first hand when high profile people are ripped apart without having a fair chance to defend themself prior to judgements being made.

How can they just give him a lifetime ban without him being proven guilty yet? At least suspend him until the trial is over, but a lifetime ban? Sounds like they just wanted to sweep it under the rug before mainstream media falsely targets the IFBB as a "toxic company condoning rape".

Lots of politics. Shawn hasn't done much to promote Mr Olympia since he won, and doesn't really have the personality and energy to be the poster boy PR guy like Phil or Jay or Ronnie were when they were Mr Olympia.

Maybe it's got nothing to do with that but it wouldn't surprise me.
