Not saying MMA fighters can't box, but they are so used to their MMA ways that it makes it difficult for them to get into a boxing ring.

Conor did bet his whole 100 million Dollar pay check on himself for the win though...

That being said, McGregor does have a history of boxing (albeit short). If they were to meet in an alley for a true fight, McGregor will wipe the floor with Moneyweather.
Moneyweather will probably bounce around and run away from McGregor, tire him out, and get an occasional punch in to earn some points. Again, that's boxing: a tactic is a tactic. Honour plays no role.
But of course any match could be fixed. Last I heard Vegas odds were 4:1 for Moneyweather.
If you want to see an exciting MMA match, watch Joanna Jędrzejczyk. Little Polish gremlin will f**k you up.

Exactly what I said to my colleague. Lucky shot is the only way and that is a very low chance.

Never Wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty, but the pig likes it.

Pro's
- More agile
- Better endurance
- More aggression
- Most to lose (better motivated)
- Will lose points on fouls (MMA fighters conditioned on quick reaction to any unguarded openings)
- Less boxing ring experience and confidence
- Not point system orientated and will chase the KO
Maywether
Pros
- More ring experience and confidence
- Excellent boxing strategist
- Knows to pace himself and rack up points
Cons
- Less agile
- Probably over confident as this is his trade
- Fitness not on par with Connor (in my opinion)
I think its gonna be very interesting and I tilt towards Connor as the Victor of the day
(BUT YES MONEY IS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THIS)

The way I see it besides what has already been said is McGregor must get up in his grill from the first canon and fire all missiles. He has 4 rounds to do it otherwise Gayweather will for sure won. On points Connor has as much chance as Zuma giving Nkandla back to the government. What Connor has going for him is his opponent hits like a girl so there is litle danger in rushing him.

Not a ton of money as gambling is risky and anything can happen but yes I love it when the underdog comes out on top. I'm a fan of Mcgregor's ruthlessness and I am an overall fan of his... even if he happens to lose I'll still be team mcrgregor.
However, it's a different ball game all together and this is the game where mayweather is best. So again I shall say, anything can happen.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than seeing Gayweather's face kiss the floor. I think most of the people allowed to watch the fight agree.

Seriously though, lets call it what it is - a farce. I have watched pretty much every UFC (and many other promotions) since it started in 1992 on grainy vhs copies of copies, to slow ISDN downloads and now, thank god, ADSL.
That said, it is THE biggest fight in MMA history and perhaps even a "Rubicon" for boxing. If anyone had told me 20 years ago that the greatest boxer would accept a challenge from an MMA fighter I would have thought them mad. Hell, if you had told me this 3 years agao I would have thought "never".
Mayweather has everything to lose. If he wins, it will be "well what did you expect". If it goes all twelve, everyone will be like "you couldn't even knock out an average (at best boxer).
If Connor wins boxing is in serious trouble. Mayweather has exploited the rules to his advantage. The boxing gurus would have to look at ways to re-invigorate the sport, but with more federations you poke a stick at with more "world" chumps, errr, champs, it has definitely lost it's lustre.
Mayweather is good, make no bones. The only contentious fight that IMHO he lost was against Oscar de la Hoya, the rest he was never really in any trouble, ever. That shoulder roll is masterful and his reaction time... WOW... watch his fights, in the close ups watch his eyes. He actually WATCHES the punch the whole time as he moves just enough for it to miss. He is always aware and leads his opponent so he knows where the next punch is coming from. I know guys diss Aikido, but it is based on the sword, so yes, pretty fkn useless in modern day but the whole jist of it is to lead the opponent so that you can "predict" or rather pre-empt, their next move.
How is Connor going to win?
I believe by one of two ways.
1) Either come out guns blazing like Vitor Belfort in his UFC devastating knockout debut against Wanderlei Silva.
or, (less likely) 2) Come at Mayweather with his unorthodox stance continuously circling and maybe throw in a superman punch or two. Floyd won't expect that and as he is shorter his shoulder roll won't help. Use this to set him up and feign for a superman then as he raises to cover drop and unleash that killer uppercut.
I think though, option 1 is the better as it will catch Floyd completely off guard and as he is a naturally defensive boxer won't be able to engage an offensive reply. Connor only has to land one punch and it's game over.

How do you guys recon this influences the odds and in who's favour do you think this tips the scales.
Many Believe Floyd has already bought the fight.
I still say Conor is going to knock him on his ass...

Floyd is a boxer by profession but if you've followed Conor's career at all you'll know that he studies the "art" of human movement. He studies the way his opponents walk, the way they make gestures and mostly the patterns they have inside the ring. Conor will use that to his advantage.
Where as Floyd is going up against "another boxer" in his head.
Regardless of the weight of the gloves, Conor hits like a train!
Again, I'll end off in saying it's a combat sport and anything can happen. My money is on the underdog mcgregor!

However, let me categorically state I don't think Connor stands a snow ball's chance in hell.
Mayweather isn't some punch drunk journeyman. Many guys have tried to go after him and all have lost.
Connor can't win this, only Floyd can lose it.

Coach states he is finished and will not win the match period.
My bet gents, he is going to get hurt bad and he is also overly confident with all the hype and bull shit. Min training, much publicity.
