What tests? was created by clutchplate
Hi everyone,
I`m hoping you guys can shed some light or guidance on behalf of my wife.
She has been back and forth to the GP for some tests to address, server highs and lows in her mood, it doesn't appear to be depression but after some reading could point to a hormone imbalance.
I would like to know what test to do to check for Low female testosterone levels as well as Too much estrogen and or too little progesterone?
Something else I want to check is Partial loss of adrenal function - there are various kinds of tests that can be done to test this, what is the standard? and should she rather wait to see results for the above tests to decide if I should test this. (The range of symptoms are very similar)
Tests results from recent tests:
S-TSH - 1.09mlU/L
FSH - 12.8 IU/L (done on approx day 4)
S-CREATININE - 63 umol/L
Lipaemia - absent
S-CHOLESTEROL - 4.3 mmol/L
CKD-EPI eGFR (ml/min/1.73m2) - 112
Haemoglobin - 14.2 g/dL
White cell count - 7.5 x10E9/L
Neutrophils ABS - 4.40 x10E9/L
Lymphocytes ABS - 2.50 x10E9/L
Monocytes ABS - 0.50 x10E9/L
Eosinophils ABS - 0.10 x10E9/L
Basophils ABS - 0.10 x10E9/L
Thanks!

Hey Oupa
She is 33, healthy, up and down in terms of mood and motivation, also somewhat lethargic and down on energy.
She is off the pill and after the birth of our first born she had a mirena put in and taken out 6 months after, put her in a trance as so too speak.
Oh and 50kg and 166cm.
