Multi-Sport GPS Watch + HRM was created by Oom G
Hi Guys,
looking for possibly some first hand experience or suggestions on a Multi-Sport GPS Watch with HRM?
want to invest in one for cycling and trail running and as they are quite pricey i don't want to make a bad choice.
Cheers

i have used the garmin FR70 for running and it was good.
have since moved on to the nike+ and it's awesome since it has the built in GPS.
both work with external HRM
have been contemplating getting the samsung gear fit as well since it will have alot more functionality and it has a built in HRM.
these are not top of the range, but they are more than capable of doing the job.
i have used them for running though and i'm not sure how good they are for cycling.

As far as I know the Samsung Gear S2 doesn't have a built in GPS, but if you close enough to your phone it will use your phones GPS and then you can use maps, Nike running app, etc from the watch. I believe the Gear S3 has a built in GPS, but there was uncertainty around its availability in SA due to the micro sim requirements and out network, I'm not sure if that has changed now.

spot on pump.
@Oom G, you will also need to decide what you want out of the watch. are you only interested in the HRM or do you want a combination with distance, speed as well as GPS tracking?
these days there are plenty of apps available and you can get away with buying simple add ons like a HRM as well as speed sensor for your bicycle. connect to your phone and bobs your uncle
