5000iu of Ovitrelle a week??

Hi gents, just a quick one. Would like to hear what you guys think of this.

My cuz has been suffering from low test levels. Total test was at 13 and free at 350.


There's a doc he has been seeing in Melrose arch, I'm sure some of you will know who I'm talking about.

But he has my cuz on 5000ius of Ovitrelle a week and it's all shot in on dose..no splits. So basically a pen of Ovitrelle lasts him 2 weeks for 2 injections

Isn't 5000 ius excessive? as far as I know that will fuck up the leydig cells of the testes especially if run for prolonged periods of time. The doc has him on this dose for 10 weeks along with 4mg of adex a week as his aromatase is on the high end.

Any feedback from you gents would be appreciated.

Ovitrelle is dosed in mcg usually 250mcg in a syringe, but that large dose 125mcg in a single shot is definitely excessive.

I had a bud who shot up 5000iu hcg at once as he didn't ask any questions, he said he felt like he was gonna die??

Dunno boet - Think Pump knows a lot about this - in the old days they used to shoot up fck mountains of it.

Snitch that doc doesn't know what he is doing. He is following an old school, outdated method that is proven to be overkill and possibly harmful if he hopes to recover his normal T levels. It is very clear that most doctors do not know what they are doing when it comes to TRT or restoration of natural testosterone levels.

One should only see specialists who do this stuff for a living, who are clued up on the latest effective methods.

Thanks for the input gents. That's exactly what I said, large doses of hcg were used years ago before extensive research was done into the whole issue.

But what baffles my mind is that this doc is supposed to be really good and is recommended by many. His a proper endo. Are we allowed to mention names here? Im sure some of you will know him, would like to see what you gents think of him and if you've had any experiences with him?

My cuzzies test has improved drastically though, his latest bloods are total test at 22 and free around 700.

Just want he said we used to use 5000iu Mon/Wed/Fri and that was PCT. And that was always 2 weeks after the cycle. We also used it half way through a cycle at that dose of the 1500iu amps of Pregnyl, but if it was considered a hard cycle, 5000iu was the dose. I would never advise that now, stick to what these guys are saying, they clued up in this field.

With no dis-respect to the medical profession, I had a similar experience, just accepted that it's rare to find experts in our way of hormone use. And Tim Noakes advises runners to be cautious when accepting advice on running injuries from doctors who are not themselves runners..

Of course his T level should improve. He's on a ridiculously high dose of a hormone that boosts testosterone production. The only reason for a guy to take extremely high doses of HCG is when the doc needs to determine whether his low testosterone is due to either his testes or his hypothalamus/pituitary. But then 5000IU is still old school.

@pump - How long would you have run that PCT for bud?


@mack - it's ridiculous honestly, his considered one if the best and we pay crazy money to see these guys but in actual fact they have no idea what actually needs to be done.

@muscleaddict - true bud, his test will definitely sky rocket, that's why the doc has now upped his adex use to 4mg a week to counter the aromatase. I forgot to mention the doc has him on DHEA as well at 125mg daily. His body apparently doesn't make enough. Even though my cuzzies test levels are a decent levels he feels very average..sex drive is still non existent! His dropping good body fat bit that's pretty much it.

Just the Monday / Wednesday and Friday. Then information switched to 10 days of Clomid after that period.

DHEA didnt do much if not anything for me at 300mg pd.

My cuz went for a follow up yesterday as his 10 week cycle of adex,Ovitrelle and Dhea came to an end..blood work was done. Test is still high as previously mentioned.

The doc says he must now continue with the exact protocol until March!!!

This will damage the leydig cells and he might never be able to restore natural test levels/function?!

The doc is Dr. Bhana, any of you ever heard of him, had a consultation with him?

Agreed bud.. I told my cuz a few weeks ago that this dose is insane..but he is adamant that the doc has him on the right path!
