So the poster boy for this site, 51 years old, coming back from a torn pec , 11 years off training is doing the 2016 Olympia?!?!?!? I know he's done his full body checkup, X-rays /bloodwork ect, started training in jan and has gained 35lbs since then. Jeeeez I'm excited to see him on stage, hope he gets the redemption he deserves.

It's the biggest news in bodybuilding in years. Almost unbelievable. But he has some of the best genetics for building muscle ever seen. He has been training again for 2 years now though, not since January. I started following his 2014 transformation videos around April 2014. This is going to be awesome to watch.

Yeah when I saw this news myself, I was like "Showing Kai there are no limits!" Shit if this doest prompt Kai to sign this year, he'll just continue to be looked down upon. That said, I was eager to see Cedric do well, this complicates things, but it'll be interesting as hell!

For all unfamiliar, Google Olympia 91/92 I think? Where Levrone and Nasser stood side by side with Dorian. Fuuaark!

The olympia needs a new attraction since kai doesn't seem like he will be competing this year again.
Kevin competing in the olympia is good marketing to attract the crowds to the olympia again, it also benifits him and markets his supplement line.
At his age and been out the game for so long to crack top 5, only time will tell.

Don't agree completely. The line up looks to be different this year anyway. Loads of awesome physiques at the Arnold's so far, plus it looks grim for Dennis Wolf. I don't think it's his intention, that the attention will boost Levrone's business ventures. Might be a nice perk.

The more I look at him, the more I think he is making a big mistake too, if you look at this current condition to that of where he was, I can tell you he isn't ready what so ever.

Kevin has some of the best genetics ever. He would take 5 months off completely from training and then only start training for the Olympia 3-4 months out at 90kg. Then put on 25kg before he got on stage and get top 3 in Olympia 7 or 8 times. None of his main rivals could do that.

Now when he announced his 'come back' at 5 months out he was in the best shape he has ever been out 5 months out. That is why partly why there is so much hype and excitement. But he is 52. Even having the best genetics in the world can't overlook that. I don't think he will get top 5 because of that, but it's still the most exciting thing in bodybuilding in donkeys years. He is a mystery and there is always the chance he will get top 3. Super amped for this!

I agree with you, my only objection is he is nowhere NEAR (today) where the other guys are in their prep. Genetics or not, he was so small before he started this last year, and yes he has got some insane gains, but by next year he would have had a competitive chance.

Yeah i completely agree.Daunting task to stand next to the freaks of today, although he is growing like a weed. Just checked him training in Irag, massive difference from his previous updates. I think hell come in shape, close to his best.Have any of you guys followed his change in philosophy of diet? He used to be super strict, broccoli and chicken breast, zero carbs for weeks, whatever it took to be shredded; now gradually cuts out things, think he is even eating at 20% "dirty" foods.

He says that for his Olympia preps he only started his diet and training 14 weeks out. There are still 17/18 weeks to go. No matter how he does he will still be the best 52 year old physique ever.

I saw a video of him posted 2 days ago on YouTube and his legs have a long way to go! Legs are not looking impressive, but who knows what he can do in 4 months.

Keeping an eye on his Facebook page and via different muscle mags (online). The guy is exploding, every week he is packing on muscle. He's already put on 30kgs and it's SOLID muscle, he is hard as a rock, I've never in my life seen someone transform like this guy.

Kevin Levrone: GH was still fairly new on the scene when I started competing as a pro. People made a big deal about it, and there was a lot of hype surrounding it. Now I need to clarify what I said about not changing anything about what I used, because I did try GH twice. When I won the Arnold Classic in 1996 at 257 pounds, I used it twice a day every day for the last four weeks right up to the show. I also used insulin for that show, two IU of Humulin R after my workout with a meal, and with one more meal later on. Out of convenience, that’s when I took my GH too. Those did help me add over 15 pounds of bodyweight, but it wasn’t quality muscle, just like what Dorian experienced. To me, I looked a little soft and watery even though I won. I used both again the next year for the Arnold, and that time it threw my condition off so badly that I placed eighth. That was the lowest I ever placed in any contest, and the only time I was ever out of the top six as a pro. So I said screw this stuff. I did the Mr. Olympia that year looking sharp as usual, and then hit seven Grand Prix shows in Europe. I won all of those except the one in Russia that Ronnie came out for. All of this told me that GH and insulin were detrimental to my physique. They blew out my midsection and blurred out my clear cuts. They will get you bigger, but not better. To me, better is better than bigger!

^ Isn't a new article, but look at what hGH did to him...
