Obvious to say......not happy with what he said. Any opinions out there guys? Pain is more on some days then others, originally thought it to jus be cos of the bundle of knots in the shoulder blades and massages would sort out, but no luck! The sharp pain.....I think is a tear? Take a shot or few of deca to speed up healing?

Getting bigger wont help. Had the same in my back where even my fingers got numb. It is definitely a nerve. After a long struggle with Physio's and Bio's and lots of money later, they didn't help anything.
Ask your doc about a procedure called a Rhizotomy... (Burning of the nerve). I had the problem for about 4 months and after a few Rhizotomy treatments together with losing some weight and a lot of stretching, my nerve released totally.
That burning and numbness feeling is a bitch. Best of luck bud!!

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall that lecture! "Wayne, your muscles are abnormally huge from all the steroids you take. I've never seen this before, but they are so big that they are squashing all the nerves, and your big muscles are going to disable you if you don't stop lifting weights" :pinch:
I would see another doc! I'm surprised he did't consider that it might be from damage to soft tissue around the vertabrae in your neck which is causing a pinched nerve, or a herniated disk causing inflammation or something like that.

I went to another doc yesterday, he gave me predizone, whole bunch of painkillers and said in a week if it doest come right, I would need x-rays and MRI scan done. @ Optron, thanks man, will ask doc about that on my next visit.

Been there a number of times and was misdiagnosed by every ass rag Doc and Chiro I went to.
It should clear up in about 2 weeks if it doesn't like the second one said an MRI is your next step.
Avoid Chiro's at this time because they ended up making mine Far worse

I don't think he would want to be associated with a steroids forum. If he googled his name and an anabaolic steroids forum came up with his contact details, he would not be happy.

@Optron...doing much better hey! Still have not trained proper yet, did pick up some 5kg dumbells once or twice. The pain and numbness just pops up every now and again. Getting the wife to massage deep the knotted area between shoulder blades, is helping. I properly would have started training if it had not been for a little bad run....a pick pocket tried his luck with my wife, I went to clout him, he pulled back and ran, mis-hit and my thump took the brunt of it and sprained...lol, then thats just bout coming right, I landed up with bad gastric and ended up in hospital dehydrated..recovering there...hoping to start some light training this Monday. :silly:

Ag bud, you know, sometimes having some time off does more good than bad, especially with that nerve of yours. After 4 months of numbness and burning, mine released after I dropped the weights for some cardio and with the help of two rhizotomy procedures. After it released, I picked up the weights again and all was good and still is.
I surely hope you get that sorted. I remember that just turning while sleeping was a bitch with that trapped nerve.
All the best!
