lenovo laptop

I just want to know the quality of this brand of laptops.. I'm not so clued up on laptops/computers/etc..
I was looking at 1 for 2999 exclusive..
4gb ram
500gb hd
1-2 other things..
my main reason for wanting a laptop is for torrents downloads and the occasional browsing..

Try mybroadband.com, they'll probably give good advice there. But just for Internet usage you don't need a powerful machine. What are you looking at downloading? If you want to watch movies on it or write DVDs then just check relevant specs. Also depending on what you are DLing you'll need storage. I take it an external HDD is sorted already?

Ya I just want something cheap to download and movies..series.. music.. and browsing.
this particular laptop I seen had 500gb internal HD, and I have me a 1tb external HD.. but I watch and delete so thats more then enough for me..
and also no gaming.. I have my ps3 for that..

I just don't know if lenovo is a good brand as I was never a computer person.. will check broadband.com and see what I can find..

I guess if you aren't going to use it for much and don't want to spend too much a Lenovo is fine. Just make sure it has all the network interfacing you need.
