Thanks for the reply pump :)

People who have not gone through it have no idea what they are talking about. Imagine feeling down hearted all the time.... pretty much been feeling this way for as long as I can remember, I'm 25 now... Something good happens in your life, you achieve something get a promotion etc etc.... Then your mind warps it so badly that you dont even feel happy about it. You start clouding it in negative thoughts. Yes The chemical side will go hand in hand with therapy,(shrink)

Please refrain from commenting if you have no idea what you are talking about, you dont just man up and get over it. Say that to a cancer patient,,,,, see how stupid that sounds ?

Was waiting for you to chip in bra. ;)

This thread is not supposed to be about issues with modern society or people diagnosed with psychological problems labeled as cry-babies. I feel this thread has derailed a bit.

@evilbunny7: Have you gone for therapy at a psychologist? Like I said, working through problems is really helpful, being dependent on medication long-term doesn't solve psych- problems.

Sorry for the derail Gents. I do understand that clinical depression is a real illness and does need treating.
I was just going on about how a lot of the time they are abuzed by people with no real issues.

Apologies to those I offended.

Go big or go home...

I suggest you look doing cognitive behavioural therapy.. it isn't quick.. can take 10 to 15 weeks but if you have a PMB you allowed 12 visits a year 'by law', not having to pay for it.

You may be able to go on a lower dose of wellbutrin, maybe 150mg in the future.. I'm guessing you on 300mg? And you using the XL ?

Yes, on 300mg and the XL formulation. A few year back I was on Paxil for a 6 month stint, it worked in the sense that it made me very stable, almost robot like but it made me very tired.... Which was not great for my productivity. Hence I told the doc i would rather not try an ssri again

Wellbutrin is very effective and the feedback on it is very positive. Just remember that you cannot drink alcohol as you risk convulsions.
