Huge lump and pain X2

Good day Gents and Ladies,

I've been pinning PGW Deca and Organon Sust for 4 weeks now and this week something happened which is not good. Tuesday after pinning Monday night my right glute became extremely painful and reached twice it's size. My wife pins exactly the same,uses the same size new needles, cleans with alcohol swabs, massages afterwards, the whole routine. I thought that I will try and wait the pain and size out until the next pin. Last night left glute, and today exactly the same, huge swelling and extreme pain. What possibly could cause this on pin 7 and 8? P.S. I stopped LP Anaps on Tuesday.

Has the right glute returned to normal size & pain free?

Hi Oupiel, minimal reduction and pain still exists.

What needle?

Take a hot bath, and rub it gently to.try disperse any oil. Grab a hot water bottle and some anti inflammatory pills. Should help reduce swelling and pain.

Will this work even 1 to 3 days afterwards? Why would this happen after 5 cycles with no problems whatsoever and also consecutively?

But the good news is that it's a simple fix.

Your needles are too short for gluteal injections, so instead of intramuscular shots, you're taking it Subcutaneously.

After a while there will be a build up as it is absorbed slower. This is why I think it came on after a few injections.

The hot water bottle and that will definitely help. But to avoid further pain switch to 1.5" needles when shooting the glutes. Usually 21g.

I'd give the glutes a rest though so consider pinning quads a couple weeks. Use your 23g 1" needles to do so.

Also, just confirm:

Is the area red?
Is the area hot to touch?
Are you running a temp?
Are you feeling ill (aside from the sore arse)?

If any of these, start thinking infection and get your arse to a doctor & tell him/her everything.

Is your gear the real deal from a reputable lab?
Is each dose in its own ampule or all in a 10ml vial?
Could it be contaminated?

I am feeling ill but I think it's due to the pain.
My gear is real and from reputable lab - PGW Deca 10ml vial and Organon Sust 1ml amps.
Not contaminated at all, it looks super clean and my process is also 100% sterile and healthy.

Hmmm, I'd watch that carefully.
Get your temp taken, ensure you don't have low grade fever (sign of infection)

The needles are most likely long enough unless your body fat is high. I use a 1" 23 or 24 gauge for all IM glute shots, no problem.

This kind of painful lump is often caused by injecting into scar tissue. A cyst can form because the oil drains very slowly if it's stuck inside scar tissue which can causes the tissue to get irritated and enflamed. Usually one would get a sterile abscess that isn't painful but your immune system could be responding to the solvents in the oil or worst case scenario the gear is contaminated. But with PGW that is virtually impossible.

I agree with MA.

I had more or less the same shit. There is about 3 pin sites per glute. Our wifes seem to pin in exactly the same spot because it works and her husband didnt die. Ask her to move slightly up, left, right or down in the same muscle next time, but dont use that glute for a while. Get that Deep Heat oil and let your wife massage and treat that glute for at least 2 weeks before you pin again.

I've had pain many many times.. however this doesn't sound good. Maybe go see a doctor, because this can go properly wrong.

Thanks for the great informing answers. I followed Oupiel's suggestion of the hot bath, massaging lumps in bath and taking pain pills + Dicloflam. Followed it with Stillnox (didn't sleep for 3 nights),woke up this morning, lumps still there, although smaller, feeling much better. Went to gym from 7 to 8 this morning (calves, abs, forearms). Feverish feeling also seem to be disappearing.
