What would you advise in terms of a superbike for a larger fellow (198cm, 131kg A-bombs lol)
Some years back a TL1000s did me just fine but its a little old now, if the bike is to small it will look like I am humping a football on the highway.
Suggestions?
Please no cruisers, the closest I will get to that is a Yamaha Vmax or a 1200 Bandit.
Doesn't need to be brand new, from 2000 to 2010 is even fine.

Closest your going to come to one is either a Busa or 1400 ninja.

I not as big as you, 191cm and under 90kgs.
I have a 1100 fireblade that hates tar
If you want a hardcore superbike with power for you and the lady I would look at a kawasaki Zx14, or hyabussa 1300. Even the 1100 fireblade will be there.
However that said, I would also consider the bmw gs1200. Its got plenty power. Can go with 1 or 2 people on. Can do tar and gravel roads, and can do long distance trips (hardcore superbikes kill your back) or be a daily commuter.
Unfortunately even second hand these will burn a whole in you wallet.
Every morning you have two choices : continue to sleep with your dreams, or get up and chase them......!!!

With your weight including hers you will have to go big or you will get bored very soon if the other guys leave you behind cause your a slow poke with 2 people on a R6
Imo dont look on gumtree for bikes just yet. First go to a few shops, that sell second hand bikes. Look at what you would go for and test drive them. Get a feel of power and agility on the bike. See how it handles.
Remember with second hand that banks will not finiance if its older than 10 years. And if your on a budget and thinking of finance, remember that insurance brokers get rich from bikers

Blackbird is still a beauty, f'ckall wrong with that.
No I will buy it cash bru so I am looking around 55k, maybe a tad more, its just a toy after all as I still have the Audi.
Recon I would fit comfy on a bbird?
As I said I had a TL1000s years back and it was comfortable. They are also large. Maybe the TL1000 SRAD?

Difficult to say with your size, still think a few test drives will give you a better idea of what you like, want and then could afford. Personally im shit scared of the hyabussa, its handling does not match the speed imo. SRAD'S are awesome bikes. But getting a proper one that was looked after without a african round trip on the clock within a budget will prove to be difficult. Same goes for a zx14 as they are "newer" bikes.
If its for weekend mostly I would go test a few of the 1000's. They are more available, there for cheaper. Generally you can find them with low mileage as every guy with extra cash owns one
I promise they have plenty performance as they are the most competitive class of bikes. Newer 1000s wil go around older SRADs

I have taken the Bussa for a spin and its as you say, takes off like a mother f*cker but don't swing the corners at high speed, I was only impressed on the straight road - very impressed.
Will take a few for a spin and see what fits, that's probably best. I miss that free feeling of being on a crotch rocket and that insane performance.

I love my bikes, like Oupiel said. Doctors and the lot do make money out of bikers. But I still will never give it up or trade my hobbies. I grew up in heart of Africa, and alone and quite time to think is the best part of my day  To me driving bikes is the same as the gym. When im down, kak mood, bad day, or just angry on cycle
When you drive a car you are distracted by the radio and the passengers, or the scenery. Your mind wonders and I tend to over think things in life then. When in the gym lifting heavy ass weights, or driving at xx kms hour. You dont think of everyday life and other shit. You focus on what you do, or the weight or bike will come down on your face. :pinch:
Test driving bikes on the weekend sounds like fun

Clever MM, she hates me on bikes as I have a need for speed, but she had agreed. Can't keep controlling me as it causes fights

But MM went there. Hot headed + Gear + Need 4 Speed + superbike + sa roads =........
Do the maths.
Its the best retail therapy I ever did.
Cost me, 8 days in a coma, 25 kgs, 12 ribs, collapsed lung.
Got Ventilator-associated pneumonia - that nearly settled everything!!!!
Man, if you buy a superbike, go to bike school, ride it on the track ONLY!!!
Only cruise on the road (impossible on a superbike)
Road burn will burn off all that hard won muscle like dieting with an angle grinder.
And regardless of where you relationship goes, you have no choice but to be here to be the best dad.
Follow Oupa, buy a something sedate and go cruising.
Me, I bought a child's toy - a bicycle and I get my jollies being a kid again.
Hence I'm now a feather weight, but still love bodybuilding.
