Howzit guys, ok im itchy again for a new car, tired of the Fortuner and hated getting stuck in Mozambique, granted its only a 4*2 and not comparable with a 4*4 I have enjoyed my Fortuner, but as I said im itchy for something new.
My options are as follow:
Discovery 4 HSE Lux, Porsche Cayenne Diesel and a Jeep Grand Cherokee, all new, but all very different. I don't go 4*4 often but maybe would like to at least 2* a year.
Who has experience with these brands and if you had the choice what would you go for and why?
The only issue I have with the Porsche is the waiting period 4-5 months.

Hey Koe

I've got the Disco 4 and love it, It's like a road car on the road but amazing in the bush. I just came back from the Okavongo and had the time of my life with it. It also can handle quite a cargo(kids and dive gear)
I wouldn't suggest the porche if you going to be doing offroading it more of a pavement jumper thats fantastic on rd and I'm just not a Jeep fan so can't comment there.

The land cruisers are also seriously nice..

Go big or go home...

if i had the choice or was in a position you find yourself in i would go for the dico4. very god offroad if not better than the other two. checkout youtube clips of where the disco can go and how easy it does it compared to other vehicles. down side is it have allot of electronics than can go bust. would say the porche is a close rival. jeep is ok but i wont buy it. lr d4 is in a different class than the jeep. disco also is full house. dont think you can really add anything in the inside as it has all you can think of. wife and kids will love the space. diesel disco has lots of power and does ok on juice.

If working on body and character doesnt cost you something its woth noting. If criticism is all that proceed out of your mouth then know that is how you feel about yourself and depicts the health of your soul.

Disco 4 is an exceptional car, my father also only drives Landy, go test drive one I heard they got even more features than the 3

I drove the 3 last year going to moz and back, epic 4x4

I'd go with Discovery 4. It's won pretty much every best 4x4/SUV award out there.

Since you want to go off road a couple of times per year I will vote for the Discovery 4.

The Cayenne is a very nice looking SUV and it's road handling and build quality will be by far the best out of the three options you're considering, but off road you will struggle.

I don't know allot about Jeep and don't think I will ever consider getting one myself.

My bro in law recently bought the Infiniti FX50 S. Lovely looking car and and unbelievable drive. The power delivery is insane. I know it may not be one of the options, but it's worth a look.

Friend bought a new Cayenne last year. He has not said a word about it and he is a guy that likes talking about his new cars. That should say something.........

Definitely the disco.

As in the words of Jeremy Clarkson "The Porsche Cayenne has the sex appeal of a camel with gingivitis."

Definitely would go with the discovery. The Jeep is awesome to would be a tough choice for me.

Love the buuuuuuuuuuuuuurn!
