Light Weight Baby !!!!
which scale to use?? was created by Zimbulk88
Hey guys ... So a rather random question here but would like some feed back .
I have at my disposal 3 types of scales to weigh myself.
1) this being the scale I have used for all my weigh ins thus far.it is one of those proper digital scales not a home scale but a digital gym scale. This reads roughly as of late 100.1 kilos and varies a tad etc..
2) one of those old school counter weight scales and same time of day ( morning with no feed or drink etc) says 97.
3) a v shaped foot roller scale ( best way I can describe it ) and again same time of day etc says 95 .
I know I will probably have to remain using the scale I started with but those results vary a lot.
What are your guys thoughts.

Hey Zim,
First of, whichever scale you choose to use, keep using that one at the same one consistently with the same time of day ect.
Old practice will dictate that the balance beam is the most accurate, but digital scales are increasingly accurate and digital physician-fitness scales are even better. Home needle scales tend to have errors, but having a digital scale at home to do morning fasted weigh-ins should suffice. If you want to test your home scale, put a weight where you know how much it weighs to find the error.

What i do is find a scale that if i stand on it 5 times in a row the reading will be exactly the same each time, i have seen some scales ( needle home scales) that give me 5 different readings when i stand on it 5 times in a row.
