Galaxy tab verses ipad 2??

Which one would you say is better and why.

Apparently you can do a lot more with the Galaxy tab. A lot more apps that can be downloaded free.

Also the Galaxy tab takes a normal sim card...

What do you guys think?

i got an ipad2, and next tablet i get(cos my wife stole mine) is gonna be the samsung.

How has the ipad2 worked for you DJ?

Went through 3 Samsung tablets, all had screen issues. I now have a iPad 3... Much better, everything just works, and I find it much more responsive than the galaxy was.

I have an Ipad2, had a Samsung Galaxy Tab the new one 2 months ago, Gave it to my dad and stuck with my Ipad. the interface of the Ipad is way better, user friendly, better resolution, plays games smoother. Only way Galaxy is better is the Java, some sites don't support the Apple. Other than that Apple all the way.

You probably mean the Galaxy is better with flash? I'm coding a website with allot of javascript now and the support is amazing in the iPhone. The safari browser for iOS and OS X is very good and only Chrome comes close. The other browsers doesn't even support CSS 3.

Have the iPad as as well. Apple products just work better, more reliable and durable as well. And they communicate so well with each other.

Suggest you take the one with 3G as well.

I have a galaxy tab 10.1 and an ipad 2. I prefer the galaxy tab and android to iOS.

It took them years to release the new iPad and what did the research and development teams do during that time? Slight spec and performance upgrades here and there but nothing that delivers a shock to the system. Like for example they could have implemented the holographic keyboard. Or something that takes your breath away. All they ended up doing was the boring old spec upgrades. I greatly get the impression that they have adopted the mindset to make the most money, and not one to release the best product available and be proud of it.

My wife still uses it from time to time so doubt she will let me sell it! She got it for free from her work!

Are you taking about the 3rd iPad?

To be honest I completely disagree with you. The changes Apple made compared to the iPad 2 is huge. It's not as simple as just putting a faster processor in and giving it a new name, there is allot of engineering brilliance in that device. Maybe Apple raised the expectation bar so high with every new release that it's hard for people to realize just how big step they keep taking forward. I think we got so used to being amazed and now it's getting harder to be impressed.

I'm interested in buying any iPad 2 or iPad 3 from anyone willing to sell.

Yeah talking about the 3rd iPad Admin. To me it really feels that they just gave it a spec bump and here and there better programs for improved display. But other than that I feel they could have done so much more! I know they have already developed lots of new technology so why not use it? To me it screams money making scheme.

Maybe with iOS 6 you should get more out of your iPad? I agree that Apple like to make upgrades incremental in an attempt to sell more of the newer products, but I would probably have done the same... lol

One good thing about Apple is their OS X upgrades and OS X 10.8 will only cost $19 and I find that to be a very good deal compared to Windows upgrades that are hundreds of dollars. (BTW: I think there is only a couple of days left before Apple launch the 10.8 version... very exciting!!!)

Can't exactly blame them for wanting to make money. It's definately working so far hey! I have always said that Apple and Samsung have underground meetings every couple of weeks where they strategise when to release what and how much technology each should contain. It's no coincidence that every release by Apple is just a teeny tiny amount better than the current release from Samsung and vice versa.

I have an iPad 2 and loving it! Really thought about buying the new iPad but it just didnt seem worth the money to me.
