Best of luck rvp01!
Don't stress about becoming all cranky.
Read the book and you will be happy as a pig from the moment you free yourself from the slavery of cigarettes.
In fact, you might even be in a better mood than usual cos you're not choking yourself all day :)

rvp01 wrote: hey guys

well i'm unfortunately a smoker. a 20 a day man. im definitely going to stop before i start my cycle. ive heard about this drug called Champix to help you stop. has anybody used this and how were the results? do you need a prescription for Champix?

thanks gents

Hi rvp01 :

i was a smoker, i tried Champix. yes you need a prescription, my experience with Champix, BAD had problems with the following:
hectic head rushed,
drowsy
suppressed my appetite Hectically.

i decided to stop the Tabs, and got up the next morning and haven't had one ever since. i was smoking 35 cigarettes a day bud. not easy but doable. you just have to be ready to stop. i haven't smoked for 2 months.

good luck with stopping.....

You are not gonna believe the difference to your quality of life bro. After 24 hours all of the carbon monoxide is out of your system so you will breath much easier and the quality of the oxygen and blood delivered to your muscles is just completely different. So how does it feel to not be a smoker anymore bro? :)

Yeah bro and the worst is when you kiss a girl that is a smoker. To me it feels like making out with an ashtray! The book says it doesn't matter how long cause the moment you make the decision to be a non-smoker then you are essentially the same as a non-smoker for 2 decades. So for me it's since last year 6 January. Haha!

Shot bro! My favourite two quotes are:

“Wouldn’t that be an incredibly stupid thing to do? To say ‘I never want to smoke
again then spend the rest of your life saying ‘I’d love a cigarette.’ That’s what
smokers who use the Willpower Method do. No wonder they feel so miserable.
They spend the rest of their lives desperately moping for something that they
desperately hope they will never have.”

"Smoking is like banging your head against the wall just so you can feel the relief
when you stop doing it."
This comparison sums it up perfectly i.m.o.

Yeah bro it sucks hey! I didn't even have that cigarette when I read the book. Imagine someone quitting smoking, and you allow them to have another cigarette and they don't even want to.

Mr RVP are you still a non-smoker? I know yesterday was a bit rough for you but today you have officially gone a whole week without smoking! Feels great doesn't it? :) Karma awaits if you are.

You're a champion bro! :woohoo: +1 For being a non-smoker and have +1 for making it through the hard part. Now the nicotine is officially out of your system and cravings are now only a mental thing.

Add: If you ever touch a cigarette again I will find you and beat you! Agreed?
