I don't have anyone nearby to measure BF% nor do I have a caliper yet so don't know. Lost about 3kg's bodyweight. Have lost NO muscle size and look much leaner. Going to continue up untill I cycle.

Very active adult males can only absorb like 3000mg of vitamin C per day at a push so no need to have more than that and 5000mg would be a definite waste! Rather just take 500mg with rosehip 4 times a day.
Any comprehensive multi should be fine
If you jumped into a training routine after a period of extended rest, you are likely to experience some very annoying cold / flu symptoms. Try ease yourself into your training to allow your body to keep up.

I still disagree with incorporating such high vitamin C dosages, but its cheap and safe, and I'm not a doctor, so I won't steer this thread any further off topic
Good luck and get well soon regz!

I came across the vitamin c therapy watching a local tv slot with Patrick Holford, who recommends at the onslaught of a cold or flu take 3g and then 1g every hr thereafter on the first day. Then your normal maintenance dose of 3-5g a day thereafter.
I've done it a few times and does work. When it's a real bad one,the symptoms the next day are not as brutal.
