IIFYM and The Uselessness of the Glycemic Index was created by Kissack
Guys have you heard of IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros)-I've been reading about it everywhere.
it refers to meeting the individual macronutrient needs relevant to one’s goals and then filling the remaining calories with foods of personal preference. Meaning, eat whatever you want as long as it fits the macros. There are a number of athletes and fitness models that follow this theory and have found it successful such as Alberto Nunez or even Josef Rakich.
Another theory of how the Glycemic Index has no relevance to us (this also talks about post workout nutrition)
Any thoughts on this?

This is how I see it, if your going to stuff your face with food to fill your extra calories with foods of personal preference and your going to eat high sugar stuff its going to spike insulin when you dont want it spiked. If your going to spike insulin with a high fat meal its going to store intra-muscular fat which is not a good thing.
Just fill your calories with good foods and get good results. Eat for long term goals not short term satisfaction. (motivational thread)

That is what the video is about. The fact that our body regulates itself and there is no 'actual spike of insulin' caused by High G.I. carbohydrates. It says if one burger hits your protein, carbs and fat macros then all you eat in a day is one burger. Obviously the nutrients and minerals and actual satiation is a different story. In terms of fat loss, it seems as though you can eat whatever you want as long as it fits into your macro nutrients. I'm a bit scared to try it with the risk of losing my physique. But as we all know, the science of bodybuilding and fitness is an ever changing thing and we should be open to different ideas if they are supported well enough. I just thought that this was interesting as a lot of people have been talking about it lately and have been seeing some fantastic results.

High gi carbs WILL spike insulin, thats why diabetics take a certain amount of iu's insulin after say an ice cream. I wouldnt risk my physique on a theory, stick to what works.
Your body will regulate itself by producing insulin yes.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

ya this debate had been going on for ages dude, for every article like this, there will be another disproving it and the cycle goes on.

IIFYM is a convenient way to bulk and I use it most of the time but its a complete disaster when it comes to cutting as carb timing is essential to both prevent fat gain and dropping it, and lmao at using Josef Rakich as an example of a this methid's success when you use as much drugs as he does its hard not to be shredded

if this was the case then people who are morbidly obese wouldnt have diabetes problems, type 1 and 2, and also if this was the case there would be people eating on macdonalds all day with ripped abs...
