If you do keto, it doesn't mean all your hard work will go to waste, you won't lose muscle. Are you happy on the diet you are on now? How long have you been doing this and are you getting results? If you're happy and getting results then stick to it

If your fats are high enough then the chances of converting protein to glucose is minimal. When there is no energy source or it's low, in the case of keto it's fat and not carbs, then there will be a conversion of protein to glucose. So keep macros to taget and training to low intensity (low reps and heavy) and you won't need to worry

I will be carbing up once every 2 weeks...
Need to drop BF as quick as possible in the 5 weeks for a cruise.
Will probably add clen in to speed things up.
Will also be on Mast Prop and Test prop for the next few weeks... Just coming off Deca and Test E... my last week of 10 weeks.
Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

Sting... Do you suggest i add the clen in???
Do you think the Mast Prop and Test Prop are the right way to go while on Keto and to drop the BF??
Sorry if i am highjacking a thread here.

Also any reason why you choose to only carb up every 2 weeks, Im curious if you find this works better than carbing up once a week?

Yeah, i do slack slightly... But Muscle Marinade is for that when on Keto.... Keeps it intense....
I would rather do a carb cycling diet, but dont know how to or have any info on that.
I am also slightly worried, as when i go on the cruise, i wont be able to stick to Keto with that food, so, its going to be 4 days of Carbing up

To carb cycle (what I learnt from DJ) is you have your usual 3 carb meals a day, breakfast, pre- and post-training, carbs differ depending whether it's a training or non training day (for obvious reasons), mid week you have a slightly higher carb day and the end of the week you carb up like on keto.
That's the basics pretty much but you know who to contact if you want a plan all worked out for you.
I think do keto, eat your self silly but in moderation on the cruise and then go back into keto or carb cycle after the cruise if you want to see how it works for you. You said somewhere that you are pretty carb sensitive though so I think a CKD will work better for you as opposed to carb cycling

To be honest; i find a ketogenic diet offers so much more variety than most other diets as its a bit easier to structure two macronutrients as opposed to three. As long as your fats and protein is sorted for the meal, and u balancing your fat intake by including lots of EFA's, i think you could get quite imaginative with your daily meals plans.

Thanks for the rough idea on Carb Cycling... i thought it was something like that.
I agree that Keto is the better option for me from fat loss!
Like i said, not looking forward to the shitty food.... but will do it for the goal in mind.

Leaving out nuts too, I think they kick me out of ketosis.
Will depend what I feel like eating but breakfast is an omelette with meat and peppers/mushrooms, the rest of the meals are salad/free green veggies and chicken/beef with avo/mac oil/olive oil. I'll add in mince next week though.
Decaffe coffee with sweetener and a little cream (carbs are around 3g per 100ml, a lot less than milk) during the day.
Mom bought me this chicken roast thing filled with pesto and feta from woolies, expensive but it's been in my freezer for a while. I made it and it's really good (zero carbs). Woolworths have a lot of kebabs etc and the marinades are super low in carbs (some almost zero). It's not exactly cheap but it's a nice treat every now and then on keto so check it out if you're interested

How much Avo do you think you can have a day, as i am sure it has carbs?
And Cream cheese (No Fat) has also almost no carbs (3g per 100g)
Think i might leave nuts out too (Almonds), and only have peanut butter.
I see there is new stuff on the market called "Happy Juice", with no carbs... just trying to find details.
You have too much time on your hands, if you are able to prepare those meals. lol

Avo is 9C per 100g but only 1g of carbs is from sugar, the other 8C are from fiber so it's all good.
Lol, I wish I had time on my hands, usually cook and do a million things at once.
Look at dairy products that are full cream, the carbs in full cream products are much less than in low fat/fat free products usually but then again you want to limit fats to the unsaturated ones so it depends on the quantities you have
