Calorie dense foods and snacks was created by mike80
Hi guys,

Hope you can help me on this one. What are the best calorie dense foods I can buy in our super markets. I am looking for foods with the most (and best) calories in them.

Thanks.

Go to google, type in calorie dense and read. I can go out and by peanuts and eat that, but almonds will have more calories per 100g than 100g of peanuts? Do you understand now? If not, then admin please delete this 'unclear' topic.

Ok mike, well for a start, seen as fats contain more calories per gram than carbs or protein, i should imagine something high fat will be the most calorie dense. That being said you wanna stay away from your unhealthy fats, so things like nuts etc will be best. Also obviously avoid foods containing high amounts of water as that will decrease the calorie density, eg your good old cucumber ;). in terms of calorie dense carbs, items high in sugar will be most dense, but these obviously have their own cons. Try powdered carb's like waxy maize for a high carb content. I use futurelife energy cereal as a nice high carb shake

Um, but im scared of needles...
