Struggling to get my head around cutting was created by Mad Cow
Hey guys I just finished my bulk and went up from about 99 to 104 and hovering at around 103 since coming off the creatine and LGD. This was only about a month of bulking so I don't think I did too bad.
I am really struggling to figure out a diet for cutting and wondering if anyone could just simplify it for me (Don't have to give me a diet plan), just the key facts. Bulking was very easy for me because all I did was eat a kak ton of chicken, rice, potatoes and drank my mass shake. But so far all I understand about cutting is no bad sugar and go on calorie deficit. How much should I decrease my carbs and should I increase my veggies? Also I assume I should drink a lot more water? I am on LP GW-501516 at the moment to get my cardio on track and preserve some muscle while I figure this out.
Any advice appreciated thanks.

You’ll need to give us some stats and breakdown of what cals and macros you bulked on, then we can start advising on what to change.

Yeah Bud, you need to give us your stats like Schmidt said. Age weight gender height body fat. How physical is your job. How many times a week do you train and what type of training and what duration.
You need to work out your maintenance Calories and Basal Metabolic Rate and take it from there.

Yeah that is what confuses me, everything you just said Rooi just flew right over my head
I can only give you my stats unfortunately (Don't know what macros or calories I was at).
Age: 19
Height: 192 cm
Weight: 103 kg
Body fat: Educated guess at 17/18% by looking at multiple examples.
I train Mon - Fri and didn't do any cardio during my bulk, so I just started running and ab exercises, but I read somewhere else on the forum that I should be doing HIIT so will switch it up. Sorry for the lack of info.
Appreciated.

Hang on. Don't start running and all that just yet do one thing at a time.
I will calculate your calories during the day. Or you can yourself google freedieting and use the calorie calculator to do your thing.
You just coming off a bulk so start by just cleaning up your diet first and stick with it till the weight or fat loss stalls. Then we drop your calories by 500 till you stall again and we keep dropping till you are at fatloss calories then if you stall you start by doing steady state cardio after your weight workouts for only 20min. Then when you stall you bump up the cardio to 30mins then when you stall 40mins then if you stall you switch over to HIIT
You also don't use a fat burner from the get go. For me I struggle once I get below 14% so that's when I start my 3months on Fat Furnace Fifteen. In the past I made the mistake of cleaning up my diet and dropping calories doing cardio for 40mins and using fat burnes from the start on my first cut I flatlined at 12%

THANK YOU! That makes a lot more sense and that freedieting website is the bomb. So basically my maintenance atm is 3100 cal, and for fat loss I need to be at 2500 cal, so how do I judge when I have stalled? Is it when I don't see anymore changes in the mirror or what? Then once I have stalled I would drop my calories to 2000?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You "bulked" and went from 99 to 104? Then dropped to 103kg when you stopped creatine. That's because creatine causes more water to beretained in the muscle.
So in essence, you only gained 4kg. Hate to break it to you but that that is hardly a bulk. At best in a perfect scenario you maybe picked 1 or 2kg of muscle, more than likely though, you just got chunky. How long was your bulk run?
What was you BF% before you started and now. That would give you a true indication

Thanks Empire, pretty much answered every question I could've asked. Slow and steady win the race.
@Cyclo It was 4 weeks and I had never put on weight so fast which is why I felt proud, I was eating a lot and training super hard. Even got stretch marks from those 4 weeks by my biceps not that it means anything. The way you put it yeah maybe I could've done more, but thanks anyways. Appreciated!
