How tall are you?

I am surprised always thought classic Physique was a smaller person than classic bodybuilding but see now classic Physique I can go up to 98 kg but classic bodybuilding only 94 kg. I will have to start practicing on doing a vacuum as I see a compulsory pose but luckily a year to practice.

Ad some shoulder and lat en leg size and you will be good in classic physique remember you are masters over 40 so they realize at that age the waist is not going to be so small and tight. I would even consider going over to the NPC/ IFBB Pro League.

Also do not neglect the calves.

It is on you. It always has been...

Oupa wrote: 200mg Test & Deca at your 96kg lean sub 8% bodyfat body...... im seriously confused how you want to add muscle.

Whats your length?

Hello Oupa I want to move from Physique to classic or normal bodybuilding i am 1.85 m long on competition day and i want to add very selective muscle mass in certain areas by training and plan to be on the relative low dose of test and deca for a year at least. On classic bodybuilding they will cap my max mass at 97 kg and therefore my idea on the low dose. I am very open to different ideas and my only concern is my high blood pressure but I am busy improving.

Hello Oupa any advice on doing TRT at 150 to 250 mg test per week with high and low every 6 weeks and adding deca at 100 to 150 mg per weeks and staying on the cycle for at least a year with an aim to add at least 3 to 4 kg of quality muscle in this period.

Deca for us older guys is not a good thing to run long periods of time due to possible heart issues. Keep the Test base TRT @ around 200mg and change your other compounds around every 8 weeks. Deca, then Equi then Tren, Add Primo to your TRT is also amazing, but that requires a 16 week stint. Oral for 6 weeks, then back on inject able. All low dosed runs.

Great transformation and well done getting on stage and placing well

Do you have a coach helping with timing of injections, food, water etc?

No personal trainer only using YouTube and internet for help as well as some friends at gym and this site. Only going for basics and not complicating things too much. Currently doing a trail on running very low dose steroids as mentioned in the last post reduced test cyp to 150 mg a week and deca to about 80 mg. Trying to gain 2 to 3 kg of pure muscle to end July for next competition in September and maybe move one weight class up.

Hi Triton
I would re look at that decca dose, I understand you going for low dose I do the same currently on test 250 and mast 300 a week but 80mg/wk is really low perhaps some of the vets could clear this up for you just to make sure you not going to fall short come comp time.

Something is working because I am currently on my highest weight yet after my fat loss at 112 kg waking up weight and my fat at about 15 % I guess. Can still see my stomach muscles but not very defined. The muscle gain can also be the rebound of eating again after competition as I read this also a common occurrence. Guess it will still take a couple of years to learn my body and what really works. Will do this low dose and prep for the next competition and see if it works because then I got a reference to compare against.

Just read this thread. Absolutely amazing. Are you still competing? Can you give us an update of your progress since last post?

Hallo,
I did a small show got first and then prepped for KZN, was chosen to represent KZN at SA's and got 5th there but if was eating was dailed in beter the last 12 hours before the show I got have gotten a 4th place. What I realized is that I have bad genetics and must carry a lot of upper mass just to look a average due to my big hips. Due to covid I decided not to strain my body and just train for enjoyment. Next year I will be 50 and will do one more show just not sure if it will be bodybuilding or muscular physic. On the steroid side I have placed myself on permanent TRT and use two months at 250 mg a week and the a month on 125 mg a week and this definitely works for me mentally and physically.

Thanks for the reply. Well done, to have done that especially nearing 50 is great!

May I ask, did you use a coach? Can you expand on "if my eating was dialed in better"? What would you have done differently?

I used YouTube for information as a good online coach quite expensive in SA. If you do it on your own like me you can expect to make mistakes. When I dI did KZN I leaned out too much and took too little carbs in the last 24 hours leading to the competition. My skin was wrinkled up and the morning of the competition I weighed 90 kg and look depleted. Two weeks later I did the SA's and there I took a little bit too much carbs and although I looked very full I lost some muscle detail. On YouTube they always talk about looking too depleted or too full and then you loose definition and I could never really relate to it until I saw it on myself. At SA the morning of the competition I weighed 96 kg but I think due to the carbs I held just a little bit too much water. I didn't use any diuretics as I have heard too many stories of people ending up in hospital. If you have the additional R1000 + per month to spend on a good coach I would say do it. For me it was just too much and if you are willing to spend a couple of weekends on YouTube and the internet you will be able to get to know all the little secrets and routines of some of the pro's.

yea there is a lot to learn online, some of us coaches, will a lot of the time help peak you for a smaller fee, etc. you don't want to do 16 weeks of hard work and then skimp right at the end to fuck it all up with doing the wrong thing, etc.

I have had plenty of guys that come to me for 2 weeks prior to their show for helping them peak, it is not a normal occurrence and a lot of guys charge an assholes fee for doing it, but if you are lean, hard, and peeled like you were, there is no need to charge a big fee to tinker with the plan, get a couple of pics every day for the last week, and then adjusting diet, water and electrolytes during the day.

I helped peak a guy, a good friend of mine too, in 2017 who was working with another coach who went AWOL like a week before the show, peaked him, he ended up winning his line up and the overall for his division and the "coach" still claims that win and posts pics of his client, I just laugh at shit like that.
