Why do so many of you eat raw oats ?
What do you mean with raw oats ? Is it dry oats out of the box or soaked in water ?

This is usually just to indicate that the oats are weighed out while still raw/dry/uncooked, as one persons 100g of cooked oats could be different to the next person's.
X grams of dry oats is always going to be X grams of dry oats.

If I have ever mentioned raw oats, I would have been speaking about dry oats out of the box. Sometimes I pour a bunch of dry oats into a bowl and add a lot of full fat yoghurt and eat as-is. Otherwise raw oats added to a blender with protein and milk etc.

Pure laziness. I think the texture is okay at best when mixed with smoothies or yoghurt but it's so quick and easy to do that I've never even thought about taking it out of a possible meal plan lol

I also prefer to not cook my oats in the microwave for more than 60 seconds. Sometimes I will only do 30 seconds.
Personal preference. Oats are amazeballs. Soo good, soo tasty, sooo convenient!
I weigh it out in a ziplock bag and there we have it. Take it where you wherever you go.
For some Abs are made with lighting & angles... For others they are made in the kitchen.

I take a protein shake with 2 raw eggs post workout in the mornings. After a shower I have oats ( microwaved ) for breakfast.
So if I can get it down, I should try adding the oats to the shake.

Looking for a good post workout shake / breakfast.
Reason for questions : Planning to do a second cycle next year, so I decided to first learn more on each meal and the food involved.

The salmonella threat is real, don't take the chance. Also the protein is more available for absorption when cooked.
Shake: Vanilla /raw whey, almonds, water, vanilla extract, canderal. For non keto /mass version add oats.

Exactly. The oats absorbs water, so the total to eat becomes more. Dry food is therefore always more nutrients dense. So if you struggle to eat, take it raw.

Raw oats is an ideal source of Resistant Starch.
Another method of getting resistant starch is to boil potatoes then leave them to cool in the fridge overnight and eat them the next day.
So what is Resistant Starch ? Here's a few links and a definition(copied and pasted)
"Resistant starch is a type of dietary fiber naturally found in many carbohydrate-rich foods such as potatoes, grains, and beans, particularly when these foods are cooled. It gets its name because it "resists" digestion in the body, and though this is true of many types of fiber, what makes resistant starch so special is the powerful impact it has on weight loss and overall health. As a dieter's tool it can't be beat: Not only does it increase your body's ability to burn fat, but it also fills you up and reduces overall hunger. Its health benefits are truly impressive as well. Studies show it improves blood sugar control, boosts immunity, and may even reduce your cancer risk.
Resistant starch is bulky, so it takes up space in your digestive system. And because you can't digest or absorb it, the starch never enters your bloodstream. That means it bypasses the fate of most carbohydrates, which get socked away as body fat when you eat more than you can burn"
