Is my diet ok? was created by MariusDP101
Hi guys!
I'm pretty new to the forum and id like to ask for some advise regarding my diet, am I doing it right or am I way wrong? I am not over weight any more, just looking to loose my last few kg's, I am lifting 4x a week and doing 50 min cardio + abs on 1x a week, my diet is as follows,
Breakfast (7AM 360 Cal)
100g oats
Snack 1 (9AM 222 Cal)
Protein shake with water
1x apple
Lunch (11AM 567 Cal)
1x medium sweet potato
1x apple
1x Banana
2x eggs
Snack 2 (2PM 200 Cal)
4x pro-vita biscuits
1x Banana
Post Workout (5:30PM 300 cal)
Protein shake with milk
Dinner (7PM 580cal)
200g Chicken breast
1 cup broccoli
50g cooked brown rice
I'm looking to build muscle while shedding say like 3 - 4 more Kg's
183cm
91Kg
Been lifting for about 5 months now.
Thanx in advance!
Regards
Marius.

What are your goals and Body fat %? At 91kgs you are not eating nowhere near enough protein bud to support or grow what you have. You can also bump up your carb I take. Check dieting 101 or creating your own diet in the diet section up at the top you will notice the stickies. Read them they great guide lines.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Hi Marius,
You are a big guy and i agree with T-Style that you need more protein.
I would also be keen to know your bodyfat percentage, as we are similiar weight and exact same height.

Hi thanx for the advice, ill try and get more protein in, but as I'm a gout sufferer at such a young age, that's mainly something I must watch,
I'm not 100% sure on my BF but I'm around the 22 - 24%.
Regards.

Hi Marius,
Your bodyfat percentage is a bit high but it could simply be diet issues.
Also I have realised a lot of guys get wrong bodyfat measurements.
Post a pic and the guys will give you a reasonably accurate prediction of your bodyfat percentage.
Remember you should be under 15% for a cycle to really be effective.
Good luck and keep us updated,
Nate

If BF % is what it is then you are open to all kinds of sides. My suggestion is to drop body fat before you cycle. Reason being.....less chance of side, better gains and more effective cycle all in all.

Apart from the protein, you need veggies. Add in some greens such as broccoli , green beans, Brussel sprouts or spinach. After your oats try and add in Hake in a meal, and chicken in another. 250g of each I would say.
And try cut out your carbs after 3 the afternoon, and see how your body reacts. Eat a Sweet potato with your lunch rather than rice in the evening.
What supplements are you using apart from the shake? And what times during the day are you drinking them?
Are you doing steady state or HIIT cardio? Rather do shorter sessions of HIIT Cardio. If you can and your time allows it, do Fasted cardio in the morning and the HIIT Cardio after training.
