Would it be madness to enter into novice competitions this year. I had advice from a WBFF Pro who said if I put my mind to it and push hard that I could take the stage in June BUT just the thought makes me  . I'm more of an introvert so taking the stage is a BIG thing but it is something that I would love to do.

if it's your dream then why not start as soon as you can. As an "introvert" it will only do wonders for your self confidence as Oupa has said.
Best of luck

Where would I start. I looked on wbff website but it looks sooo daunting and confusing.
I would be doing this without any support (besides for you guys) so I know it's going to be hard but you know what?!? I'm going to go for it! What is the worst that can happen right! :pinch:
Etwa - Any specific reason you advise against it?

I have a family that is all over Weight so family lunches or dinners are always food based and laden with calories and I sit there with my tipper ware witha chicken or beef and carry on...these things are hard to do but u do them never the less.

I have never had the support of my family and loved ones before. This is the first time my mother has seen how I battle for energy at times and has done food prep for me twice in the last 6weeks. 2 weeks worth of chicken at a time. U need to get people to back u. There are times u feel horrid and the last thing u wanna do is go home and sit in the kitchen for an hour so food prep in bulk is vital. U need people to understand its what u want to do and achieve so u dont need to hear why are u doing this to yourself when ever u see them.

I understand where you coming from DJ but unfortunately I have NO support. I am my own support and motivation. No matter how sore or not in the mood I am I drag myself to the gym and once I'm there I'm good to go. I cook my own meals and while everyone else has pizza, burgers or whatever they in the mood for I have my rice and chicken. I am doing this for me cause they dont seem to "get it". When I am sore and ask for a massage I get told "I didn't tell you to do this to yourself" so I have learnt to massage myself and have deep heat body wash for sore muscles. In a way it gives me more motivation to prove them all wrong.
You really lucky to have your mom by your side, pushing and helping.
If I have you guys to fall back on, I believe I am good to go.

if you wanted to do it you would, instead you choose to get other peoples opinions on it. If you want it that bad then go and get it. To me it sounds like you are trying to find reasons not to do it.
Dont want to be negative but this is my impression. Perhaps this statement will light a fire under your ass and you prove me wrong.
All the best!

Thanks for the "motivation" I do appreciate your honesty.
Only reason I asked is because I don't want to get on stage (which is nerve wrecking as is) and feel like I wasn't ready. Where does one start? There is posing, costumes, tans etc. I've hunted and hunted, emailed IFBB and WFBB and didn't get responses from either, tried calling the one and no one answered or returned my call.
Having a photoshoot done on the 15th and will then register and get my ass into gear. Thanks again.
I WILL do it, watch this space :silly: :pinch:
