Cashew Nut Butter

So, I’ve gotten pretty bored peanut butter in my diet and went looking for alternatives. I found a cashew nut butter recipe HERE .
Made some last night and it’s pretty good.
It’s pretty easy. Grind nuts to powder, grind more and it starts clumping. Instead of adding the oil like the recipe, I added some coconut oil. Heated it a bit then combined them together and a bit of salt.
Macros per 100g came to P: 13.3g, C: 28.5g, F: 53.16
Will try some almonds tonight

Just a little tip for almonds: they’re a drier than the cashews so maybe don’t use coconut oil. I found that I had to add more than I wanted. Try something with a more neutral flavor and a bit more runny. Will see how pure MCT oil is, but haven't tasted it before so will have to see.

Maybe soak the almonds for few hours...im sure i read a butter recipe and they soaked the nuts over night. I'll look for it and post it on here. In my inbox somewhere....

I'm using a cheapie as well. Some Logik thing I got from Game.
If you use the coffee mill, I wouldn't go over 250g at a time.
If I remember correctly, water would make it go off quicker.
