Hey gents

Lately I've been Braaing a load of chicken breasts and then eating them over the next couple of days.
How many days do you recon I can keep them in the fridge for? I'd hate to get food poisoning.

just freeze them after cooking

On or off the bone?

If you take the meat off the bone it can keep for a week in a cold fridge.

On the bone...won't trust it over 3 days...

If I cook from fresh, 4 - 5 days in a decent fridge.

Make sure you let the breasts cool fully before refrigerating them. If you don't condensation can form on the inside of your container which promotes growth of bacteria.

This goes for other foods as well.

i keep bacon raw in packet open 3weeks and its still good... wouldn't trust chicken:dry:

I do about 4-5kg of chicken in one go and freeze the portions (after they have cooled down properly. Just defrost and reheat and it tastes like fresh chicken. do the same with all my food...dont have much time to stand in front of the stove the whole day.
