I would say yes, but maybe that fat amount is a bit high!
But then again, i often have biltong as a snack between meals (as on of my 6 meals a day)

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

I buy the billtong sticks.

Taste better and have less fat.

Billtong is one of things I wont cut out

Never fraternize with them as equals, never accept them as your social equals or they will devour you, they will destroy you.

My son shot a Blesbok in Harrismith this weekend. We hung biltong and dry wors on Monday night......So I'm sorted for a few weeks.....of course sticking to my diet.

If everybody does it, is it still cheating?

biltong is the one thing i cant go with out, lean while cutting, and when bulking, well those white meat on the side taste lekker, but not too much.

u do need a bid of saturated fat now and then as well, it helps with the bodys test production amongst other things as well.

I've seen a lot of different results for biltong's nutritional value all ranging from 43g Protein/100g to 60g Protein/100g.

So what should I work on when doing diets? Sometimes I like to replace chicken with lean dry biltong for a few days.

Just think about this logically. Remember that the actual protein is within the meat. If you take a 1kg piece of meat and it contains 300g of protein in total and then dry that piece, and in the biltong making process you loose about 30%-50% of the weight due to drying. So if your piece of finished biltong now weights 500g you still 300g protein.

That means your original piece of meat was 30g/100g and now is somewhere in the region of 60g/100g. It all depends on the moisture content.

Eish... I know that. I was comparing similar products from different shops/brands. Anyways these packs of biltong were all about the same, very dry and no fat. I'll just work with the highest number then.

Yeah I'm sure they are using different cuts of meat. Or they are just using sources to get information from.
