Sup Guys!

i need some advice regarding my diet and also some opinions...

i eat veggies 3/7 days in a week (religious reasons). trying to get enough protein in my system on those 3 days are an absolutely mission! sources of protein are mainly chickpeas and soya (and these come with alot of 'dirty' carbs)!

on non-veggies days, my diet is pretty good, with clean foods all round.

now what i need some opinions are on... Am i wasting my time trying to get a Frank Zane physique with fasting on 3 days a week? the way i see it, im taking 4 steps forwards and 3 steps back!

i thought long and hard about getting DJ to help me with a diet and training routine, but im not sure whether il be wasting his time. currently im 1.73m, 85kg, 20% bf (its usually 15 - 17% but spent two weeks on holiday eating everything i shouldnt)

pain is just temporary...

Nuts have protein and essiential fats so you can throw that in there. As well as peanut butter. Get some "Quinoa" from Dischem, its high in protein and can be eaten like rice.
You also get pure soya protein shakes, although I would avoid too much soya as it is believed to raise aestrogen levels.

you dont count the protein from veg or nuts as it is an incomplete amino acid profile, the only vegitable that has got a complete amino acid profile is quinoa.

why not look into cottage cheese as a protein source on non meat days.

i can eat only a certain amount of nuts per day, any more than that and i break out with huge ass pimples all over my face.

i can try the quinoa, need to do more research into that!

Gorilla, i eat all that you have mentioned, but the quantities to eat in order to get the right amount of nutrient is pretty high., but il give it another shot, maybe use a blender and a scoop of whey for with every meal

@ DJ, do you think my goals are a bit ambitious with my current dietary setup?

That is bullshit or bullcrap (if you are american) in my opinion. Humans have been consuming red meat for millions of years, so why would it be bad to our health? Preservatives and other chemicals are far more harmful because our bodies haven't adapted to them yet.

i have dealt with guys who are also in the same boat as you, fasting 3 days a week,i dont believe that the pimples are from healthy fats. your goals are achievable as long as you want them hard enough
