Side effects of cruising on high doses was created by madeleven
I am sure that it happens more than we know. Does anyone know what the side effects of a long term cruise would be, for a test only cycle at a 'high cruising' dose of 250mg per week or 500mg per week.

I know that blood pressure would shoot through the roof and there is an issue of permanently damaging your HPTA. Any other long term effects?

Polycythemia, if you are required to go on TRT then stick in the limits the doctor recommends, this is if you are required to be on hormone replacement. If you have any possibility of heart attacks / stroke in the family I would high discourage it.

Hey madelven,

I pasted a excerpt from a post I made sometime back that's pretty much the same as your question.

Well in terms of health risks, think along the lines of the usual sides expected when going on a cycle:
oily skin, breast enlargement, testicle atrophy, changed/swings in mood, balding etc. But instead perhaps think more chronic instead of acute. So I'm guessing the increased red blood count stands out and prostate stimulation.
Higher red blood count means increased risk of heart attack ,stroke and so on.
Prostate over stimulation means higher risk of prostate cancer.

Now I’m not too concerned about the blood clotting. I've always had lower red blood count, elastic veins (don’t smoke and my cholesterol is superb).
Prostate cancer does give off alarms, but then again on TRT my test is only supposed to go normal physiological levels, so I am not sure how realistic an increased risk of prostate cancer is.
There is also increased chance of sleep apnea. But my breathing while sleeping has never been a problem (it’s my bladder that wakes me up).
Balls shrinking is a given, so no children for me. The doctor’s told me I have the option to freeze sperm now, but I’m not interested in kids anyway. The thing is, I responded to hCG. But if I go on TRT my HPTA takes a knock and never be able to synthesise those hormones again through CG - my own or exogenous. So if I’m on TRT, other treatment won't be an option.

Maybe if I missed anything Ondier or others with experience can add, but those are what comes to my mind, for someone my age

What I've noticed personally over the last couple of months of TRT is increased skin problems (pimples, mainly on chest, but some on back and rarely on face) where before my skin was smooth as baby butts.
Blood pressure, elevated for sure. Won't be surprised if it's the increased concentration of red blood cells, because endurance took a big knock.
Cholesterol is likely to raise also. Testosterone and cholesterol linked rather close.
Hair grows faster and thicker.
Nails grow faster.

That list is probably not all, but it's most likely the most common/most noticeable. Hope it helps mate.

Testicle atrophy was the worst for me the pain went down into my legs. Luckily HCG twice a week sorted it out. I had a oily skin but now my back is super oily and I shower twice a day.My blood pressure and cholesterol way beter than the three years ago when I was overweight.

@Furk, can I ask, your blood pressure stays elevated even on a TRT dose of test? Do you need to take blockers for this? And your endurance has not returned to pre-TRT levels?

Hey mack, yeah sure no worries.
Blood pressure has gone way down, I am so happy. Donated blood today, before donating 140/70 whaaaaat? haha I'm happy. There are more contributing factors to high BP, but I mean I used to have rather low BP so this is closer to normal than pre-TRT.
Endurance, gone out the window. But that's my fault, not TRT. As I drop kilo's this will come back I'm sure. Even the change in my endurance is alarming. I would hate to imagine what overweight smokers go through. Shame.
Also, my face has colour without spending ages in the sun, like natural colour that shows blood flow. I am assuming this is to do with my extremely low hematocrit and iron levels before TRT.

Hope it helps mack!

I study and read a lot, I don't get why we need to worry about homeostasis on cruising doses that a teenager would produce. Okay not the doses you are talking about but a normal cruising dose 150 to 250 max. Also male pattern balding and cholesterol, cardiac issues. Why do the youngsters not have to worry about it if that's the amount of test they naturally produce?
Sorry if that's a dumb question but it intrigues me...

If anything a cruise to me is not as painful as going through a pct, feeling like a complaining little girl, sex drive issues for months and large amounts of muscle mass loss.

Can anyone answer that in a nutshell?

Tx

But the thread is directed at higher dosages:

Also regarding baldness, it's the androgen paradox, where androgens stimulate hair growth, but over-exposure leads to baldness.

I would expect that on a blast of test and deca which makes me a right twat. But on a cruise I wouldn't expect divorce. Such low dose and no other compounds...
