First Cycle advice. was created by TimberWolf
Hallo brothers and sisters in Iron,

I am not new to the site, used to post under a different username however have been AFK for a while now and decided to re-register. I am planning on running my first cycle come next-month or, if circumstances demand otherwise, January next year.

I hurt my back last year this time and since then I've had a hard time getting back into the gym. The psychological blow I took was a lot harder than the physical aspect of my injury although it was the worst injury I have ever sustained. At that time I was around 85kgs, bodyfat around 11% and strong as an ox.

I've been training now for just over 5 weeks and have to say, muscle-memory is a true blessing. My diet is definately still lacking however I know what I need to do to fix it.

Stats:

Age: 25
Height: 1.79m
Weight: 80kg
Bodyfat: Around 13-15%.

Goals:

Overall increase in fitness
Bodyfat decrease to around 10/11%
Weight - 85kg.
Overall increase in strength
Increase in Vascularity

The heaviest I have been was 93kgs and I am glad that I have been there. I am a very wiry guy, lean and used to be a 'hardgainer'. I am carrying quite a bit of muscle but also (very annoying) some fat and excess skin around my waist and pecs.

I would like to get to 85kgs whilst shedding my fat and excess skin. The cycle I have planned is as follows:

CYCLE:

TURINABOL: 1-5 @ 60mg ED.
TEST CYPIONATE: 1-12 @ 500mg EW
ANAVAR: 8-14 @ 60mg ED

Followed by PCT 2 36 day after last pin. HCG will be run from week 5 until start of PCT and if there is any left over, will be run and finished after I finish the clomid.

I have purchased the Var thus far (4 bottles of LP Var) the rest can still be changed and ammended. I do have a limited budget however. Please, any input or advice would be appreciated. I will eat 300-500 calories above maintenance. I wanted to run GW501 but see that LP has discontinued it :(
I have also thought about either adding Masteron or EQ.

Good cycle bro one thing tho are u 100% certain u 13% bf...at 15% bf anavar won't do much but increase ur strength u see the best results of It when u around 11% or under..rather start anavar from week 10-16 if I'm not mistaken test cyp is outta the system in 30-33days or something... Why not go for winny rather than var ?
What's ur diet like ? Can u post it ?

@Lex
I'm fairly sure it is a bit 'too' high as I've read the same regarding Anavar however I'll try and do a test sometime this week. I do have some time before I start the cycle as I need to do Bloods first and secure all the compounds so I might be able to drop my Bodyfat in the meantime.

Diet looks something like this:

Breakfast: 6 egg whites and a bowl of Oats.
Meal 1: 200g Chicken breast, brown rice/pasta and cup of green veggies
Meal 2: Ditto
Pre-Workout: Nutri-Tech Whey + Oats/Raisins, USN BCAAs and USN Pre-workout
Post-Workout: Whey + Dextrose + BCAAs
Meal 3: Same as 1/2
Meal 6: Same as meal 1/2/3
Before bed: Cassein + BCAAs

This is a fairly generic blueprint of how I usually eat when I'm hitting the gym hard. I know it doesn't help if I'm not counting the calories but I'll do that during the day and post. If I'm correct it's somewhere around 3000calories but this is what I was eating when I was around 89kgs so I need to revise it.

As for adding other compounds, any ideas? I was thinking of adding Test Prop aswell though I'm not completely sure. Originally I considered running a Var only cycle but decided against that, thus the purchase of Var and not Winny. I guess however I can move the Var to the back of the shelf and get my hands on some Winny. Keep the comments rolling!

Shit.

Just got my BP checked by a doctor. I've had problems since last year with it and it seems to have gotten worse. I can attribute it to anxiety and stress aswell even though I do believe I am genetically predisposed to high BP.

Last year I was on 140/90 which got me concerned, today it was 145/110. Eish, need to sort this out before anything else. I don't think it's constantly that high but it's an indication that I'm hovering way above what's normal, especially for my age.

Hey TimberWolf,

You might want to invest in your own BP machine they are quite cheap and in my opinion indispensable tool for the AAS user.

140/110 is not really that bad too,be honest it'd likely be lower if you were in the comfort of your own home also. We are supposed to sit for 5 mind pre testing anyway.

And just nip picking at the diet, nothing major but maybe time the meal you have pre WO to be a solid meal rather than shakes/oats/raises and BCAA's. I would have a solid meal then have a amino blend (BCAA, etc) intra WO and then a whey shake post workout.

At 140/110 you should not use steroids. On cycle BP is always elevated above the norm and you'd be looking for trouble with your diastolic at 110. Diastolic BP is generally not affected by anxiety, only systolic. But high BP can also cause anxiety -It's not always the other way around. If you don't sort it out this is the kak that leads to early heart problems in your 40's.

Yea I'm on the BP issue as we speak, don't worry about that as I will try and sort it out and won't be running anything anytime soon.

However, can we please get back to the cycle advice? I was honestly just thinking now of adding Prop to the start and bridge of this cycle and pretty much keep it the same (though I might take out the Tbol then) and stick with the Var or replace it with Winny.

I'm honestly not sure how I should run the prop? Should I keep the tbol and run it for the first 2 weeks, or remove tbol and run it from week 1-4? Then I'll also run it after my last cyp pin until about 2 days before pct?

In my opinion you are over complicating it with all this bridging and different compounds. This you're first cycle, right? My advice would be to keep it simple.

A couple of things stand out though. Your BP of course which your aware of. The other thing that doesn't make much sense to me in the context of a newbie AAS user are the goals you wrote.

Overall increase in fitness
Bodyfat decrease to around 10/11%
Weight - 85kg.
Overall increase in strength
Increase in Vascularity

Maybe someone can step in and enlighten me but to my knowledge AAS, especially for the newbie, are used to pack on muscle. This is why people tell you to get lean (10%) before going on cycle (1) to minimise estrogen sides (2) a lean body will grow better, and (3) you'll gain some fat throughout the cycle so if "fat" pre cycle imagine post cycle. I see a few guys here wanting to go on AAS to lose weight and IMO there are better and safer ways of achieving this goal. As for fitness goals, AAS are useful for a pro sportsman competing in events and needs all kinds of fitness. As for increased strength, what's the deal, do you compete in strongman? I mean yes your strength will sky rocket if you go on but why is that directly a goal of yours? And vascularity, you get vascular for 12 weeks on cycle, so? Just to say in your stated goals, there wasn't one mention of gaining muscle :) I just find this strange.

You've already made great fat loss progress I would continue in that fashion, use other fat loss protocols to get you down to 10% then if you want run a test based cycle and pack on that mass. By all means add your var or whinny to help you stay lean while you build the mass.
