Injecting into quads was created by p1et
Hi gents can anybody give me some more info on where exactly the best place on the quad is to inject and what lenght of needles to be used? Im finding conflicting info around the web, also some confusion between thighs and quads.

Then also is there a way to tel once you are deep enough, actually in the muscle? Reason im asking is when i did my first shot i used a 1inch needle and when fully in the needle was still able to move around sidewise easily, decided to press in deaper some more (indenting the skin) then gave the shot. I have gotten 1.5inch needles for glutes now.

From personal experience the best spot was for me
Used 1 inch or 1 and 1/4 inch.

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

I always feel it pass through the skin and then after a bit into the muscle. Used a 1inch needle today and it felt a bit to short. Usually use 1 and a half but don't always fully insert it leave about a quarter inch out still anything deeper and my quad usually starts twitching.

1.5 inch Prog and the sooner u can inject the butt cheek the better imo needle slides in like u are injecting into butter....the quad I always seem to have to use more push on the needle to get it in.

1 inch is the best for quads, anything longer and it can feel very uncomfortable. My 2c.

I split the outer thigh (as per diagram above) into 3 sections (upper/middle and lower) and cycled the specific area's. Also used a 24 1.5 inch needle and went in until 0.5 inch of needle remained. Just remember to aspirate.

I take that 1.5 and gooi it all in, well I leave a little exposed.. Quads are dense, too close to the surface and you are playing with fire, I would rather go deep and be safe

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

For interest, is there a reason one should not inject into the middle head? I meen it seems so much bigger and accessible?

A little bit more nerves id say. I used a 1.5 and if i divide side of quad in 3 parts, i found the 1st part, closest to the hip to be less painfull. The closer i move to the knee area the more sensitive it gets. I also found that it's less sore afterwards if you go deep with the 1.5'.

I saw fatboy talkin about 24G needle: is it still good for test or too thin? Wanna try that next time. But i seem to have a hard time finding 1.5' 24G here in CT.

Thanx megusta. Good question on the 24g. Even when using a 23 it takes some force pressing the plunger.

Im not getting much pain from the needle itself, once it pierces the skin it pretty painless, well in the glutes anyway.

I started with the 23, but switched to the 24. More pressure required, but it forced me to inject slowly which helped with post injection discomfort.

I got my 24's from Dischem.

Just from personal experience I never went above 1 and 1/4 inch simply because 1.5 made me cough every time. Went with the shorter needles never had a problem. Just some information that could help if anyone is experiencing coughing :) haha

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

since iv switched to quads i prefer it over glutes,so much more accessible and such. you feel the injection more but its nothing that cant be tolerated.

Did a pin tonight that went a bit hay wire, just remember to make sure your muscle is fully relaxed otherwise you struggle to get the needle in then the needle starts like bending and pulling to the side. was quite a weird sight.

Just pinned quad, apart from a bit of discomfort it was painless. Went in really slow (scared of nerves) hit none:) so no twitching ec.
