HCG on cycle query

For some of the veterans on this board. I was not around here during Doctari's time but from his posts he seems to be one of the most informative and knowledgeable individuals on both AAS usage and a human being's endocrine system that I have ever encountered. I have just noted the various pct protocols that everyone refers to as either pct 1, pct 2 or pct 3 in some of the posts and am quite interested in the way that HCG forms part of standard pct cycle.
I have always limited the use of HCG to during my cycles, usually dosed at 250IU;s every third day when on a highly suppressive cycle. To my understanding, the introduction of HCG is suppose to mimic Leutenizing Hormone whilst on cycle and thus continue to signal the testes to continue to produce testosterone ensuring that we dont shutdown. furthermore, i also believe that the introduction of HCG during cycle also ensures that Leydig cells dont die off, which they reportedly tend to in the abscence of the pituitary gland producing LH.
Now my question is that with reserving HCG to the pct period, wont be run the risk of a) suffering from testicular atrophy as a results of our testes not producing testosterone on its own for a period of standard test cycle (15 weeks); b) without LH or a substance mimicking the effect of LH such as HCG, wont we cause a large percentage of Leydig cells to die off thus leaving us with a considerably lower number of overall cells to start producing our body's natural testesterone following the introduction of SERMs during pct. 3) Will the introduction of HCG as part of the pct be enough time to reverse testicular atrophy?
My apologies if the science behind some of my questions seems a bit off. I am basing my opinion on my knowledge and experience of AAS and am in no way asserting this as fact. Was just hoping that someone could explain my aforementioned paradoz.

So yes, you are right in saying without HCG on cycle you will have a lower number of overall leydig cells to produce endogenous testesterone.

Muscleaddict wrote: I am a firm believer of running HCG on cycle. Without HCG there is a definite reduction in Leydig cells. HCG increases the number of leydig cells in your balls as shown in a few studies. Once your balls start to atrophy it can take a while to get your normal testicular function back even with HCG so why not keep them working on cycle instead of fixing them and hoping for the best a few months later?

cheers mate, I thought the exact same thing and was unsure as to why it wasnt advocated more to be included on cycle. I can understand running it pre-pct as a means of shocking the testes into working again, but the main use of the HCG is to prevent atrophy in the first place, keep the testes functioning, and ensure that there are as many leydig cells at the end of the cycle as there was in the beginning to ensure that your natty test levels return to normal asap. It will never prevent suppression, as the pituitary gland will stop producing LH and will need to be kick-started to release the hormone again. However, at least with HCG ur testes will continue to function as per normal, making pct so much easier
