Are you referring to PCT or an ai on hand ?
They both do totally different things bud, but heres my answer to both.
Tamoxifen Citrate whether kessar, nolvadex etc is a SERM (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator).
Tamoxifen actually competes for the receptor site in breast tissue, and binding to it. Thus, the effect of tamoxifen is through estrogen receptor blockade. Clearly, if you are on a cycle which includes aas which convert to estrogen, tamoxifen is used during pct to lessen the estrogen effects on the body and aid in increasing testosterone levels up to 150% which is needed in raising natural levels across the hpta axis off course you ideally (an absolute must!!) need to do a proper tried and tested pct which would be pct 1 in the articles section consisting of tamoxifen, hcg and clomid aromasin could be added but not necessary for your particular cycle
Google or search the forum for more info on tamoxifen citrate if needed.
Anastrozole (Armidex) is an AI (Aromatase inhibitor), anastrozole acts by blocking the enzyme aromatase, subsequently blocking the production of estrogen. This is the basic premise behind Nolvadex, except this drug blocks the action and not production of estrogen. The effects of Arimidex are quite dramatic to say the least. A daily dose of one tablet (1 mg) (armidex) can produce estrogen suppression greater than 80 % though a e3d (every third day) or e4d approach can be taken on cycle of 0.5mg taken to keep estrogen levels not too elevated and keeping sides at bay. I myself follw such protocol. One could take letro, also and AI but has very harsh sides, something not worth the extra few bucks you pay for it. Prices are not to be discussed but to give you an idea anastrozole is double +- that of letro.
Hope that helps, they are completely different compounds and should be treated as such. It advisable (i will not go without!) to keep and AI on hand during cycle to combat sides immediately insuring they do nor progress into full gyno this rule of thumb you really should follow. Also ensure you follow the recommended pct 1 in the articles section. How long is your cycle btw ? and what (if at all) is your bridging compounds of choice.
Please ask further question and ill do my best to answer, you seem uneducated with regards to your usage.

The nolva is used in PCT.
Hcg, I'm not disagreeing with Rvp but the other protocol is 250iu twice a week. It makes sense to me to take it on a more consistent basis.
Good luck
