Yes it is caused by highly androgenic compopunds that aromastize into estrogen very easily. It is directly related to estrogen build-up so an AI like a-dex, letro or aromasin will help to some degree although it will not be totally preventative. If you are prone to acne then androgenic steroids will amplify the condition and then skin meds like accutane will have to be considered (accutane is a toxic chemical so it is must only be used with extreme caution and liver/kidneys should be monitored with its usage).
