Acne & Acutane... advice please was created by AvR
Sup guys,

I was getting some mild acne during my dbol /testocyp cycle and decided to get some acutane (60 tabs) to stop it from getting worse as I had a very bad experience on my previous cycle. I took only 20mg per day and my acne is now basically gone after 30 days, i.e. I have 30 tabs left.

Question; should I continue and finish the 30 remaining tabs as I believe it will help to prevent future problems or should I stop and keep the remaining 30 tabs for a future cycle in case I get it again?

Thanks for advice.

Cheers

Bud u gotta run accutane for 3months...U have to finish the course otherwise apparently it comes back even worse. I did 3 months of the generic and it wasnt to lakka but it cleared up everything.

Also if u running orals such as dbol and running the acutane ur liver is gonna take an immense pounding. I'd get blood tests done if i was u.

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

Thanks man,

I also did a 3 month coarse of the generic version (oratne) after my 1st cycle and it cleared up nicely. I was just scared it would be as bad as the first time so decided to get some when I noticed the mild acne coming out. I am not doing the acutane and dbol together. It was about 5 weeks after the dbol.

I think it could be estrogen related. I'm currently running arimidex at 1mg per day. I normally get acne very early on and I haven't got anything. First time I'm running a AI asw ell and its def helping. Maybe give adex a bash while on cycle see how that goes.

Thanks bud, will keep that in mind for my next cycle, I am basically finished with my current one, only one shot test left. I think I will just finish the last 30 tabs and clear out nicely. :)

You guys seriously need to try another way to handle this, you can't go around using Acutane everytimne you cycle, it is dangerous and you will shortly land up with a serious problem. Hormones cause break out but so does toxins, make sure you are looking after yourself, and what i mean by that is seriouslly looking after yourself while you cycle. Try natural products because most of them work better than these ugly drugs and have no side effects.

was prescribed it twice as a teenager... I can tell you...
THIS DRUG IS DANGEROUS... I stopped using because walking around with a pizza face was better than those sides... and I used a LOW dose...

Thanks pump, I will definately not use it again.

This is my second time. The first time was prescribed by my doc and blood work was in check. I realy had very bad acne on my 1st cycle, all over my chest, back, shoulders and upper arms and I thaught it would be as bad again the second time, thats why I went this route again when I started seeing sighns of acne. Maybe it wouldn't have been as bad but I didn't want to take the chance. I am currently only taking half the dosage I did the first time.

I am sure I could have used some other means with good results and will defnitly do so in future.

AvR always try something else first... If you can't then make sure you take time and a half than others would during their next cycle, to give your body a very long time to recovery properly.

00pump, I used the searched function for acne that you posted but could not find anything, not even under the articles. Could you please point me in the right direction, I am very interested in reading those articles that you wrote.

Hope its not too much trouble

Wow do I know all about accutane and roacutane... Hate that stuff with a passion... Looks like I might have to go on another course of this stuff again cause skin is breaking out... I'm not even on the juice and it is breaking out and can't understand why.. Iv been on about 3-4 courses of this stuff.. It makes my nose bleed... So sensitive to sun. Get back pains cause dries out the joints.. I want to start a test prop cycle but worried about skin.. That's reason I have not done it.

I read somewhere that vitamin A and vitamin B5 help with ur skin. It dries it out from inside and stops oil from gettin through... I will go find the article now and post shortly.

I want to use an AI with my cycle to help wit the effects but its just so expensive.. Arimedex is what I want but its pricy...

Would it be silly using test prop with accutane?? Will it counteract eachother in any way?

Here is web address u might want to look at:http://www.mens-hormonal-health.com/side-effects-of-testosterone.html

Most Common Testosterone Therapy Side Effects

- Acne

- Prostate enlargement (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia/BPH)

- Bloating

- Impotence and reduced libido

- Gynecomastia/gyno (enlarged breast tissue aka "bitch tits")

- Hair loss

The majority of the side effects you don't get from the testosterone itself. It's from the metabolites (what it turns in to); estrogen and DHT (dihydrotestosterone). If you minimize the conversions to these two compounds, you will severely restrict their development.

Acne is generally caused by high DHT and/or high cortisol.

Best Acne Supplements

- Vitamin A (10,000 - 50,000 IU)

- Vitamin B5 (1 - 10 grams)

Vitamin A and B5 (pantothenic acid) dry your skin from the inside out, at the source, unlike the outside like many topical preparations (i.e. ProActive). For the most part using topical treatments is a waste of time.

If you can stop the oil from forming in the first place, you've won the battle.

The blockbuster acne drug Accutane (Isotretinoin) works similar to vitamin A and B5 but with much harsher side effects!

If you find high dose vitamin A and B5 isn't doing the job a few month trial, then Accutane will definitely knock it out. However due to Accutane's side effect profile I strongly encourage you to go the natural route first
