PCT questions was created by DC EVO
Hey All,

I bumped into an old client tonight who was in town from Joburg and got talking to me about his low test levels, and how he may go in for TRT to sort it and if I knew anything about it. I have a few clients on TRT but I don't know a great deal.

Anyway, the story goes on that about 6 months back his trainer in Joburg got him to try his first cycle, got 3/4 through then had to fly back to the US for family issues, needless to say he didn't continue the full course and never did any form of PCT other than milk thistle!!! Apparently his trainer said that 6 weeks of VAR wouldn't shut him down at all and he wouldnt need it.

I realise VAR isn't the harshest of steroids from what I've read, but this seems to me like pretty stupid advise.

He was running VAR for 6 weeks solid at 80mg a day, I've told him I'll ask on here for him....
is it too late for him to do PCT?
if not too late - what's his best option?
will PCT help bring test levels back up again to potentially what he was naturally like before?

Despite his idiocy in this, he's a good guy who unfortunately got sold a bum deal and shouldnt of taken things so lightly - any advise would be appreciated as always.

Cheers

DC

Anavar doesn't aromatize into estrogen so he won't have to worry about taking an anti-estrogen.
Many report that it causes no HPTA shutdown but I believe that this varies from person to person.

If your friend reported low test levels after he did the anavar cycle then I would attribute this to the anavar (unless he had low test levels before the cycle). You said it was six months ago since the cycle so I would say that his natural test production should have come returned to normal by now. It would be to late to do a proper PCT now, however using some HCG now to see if it helps could be an option. I think best bet is to go visit his doctor.

Thanks StuartF - unfortunately he didn't have his levels checked before hand so he actually doesn't have a marker for before and after...again another stupid error through his lack of research.

He's apparently going to a doc at the moment but because his readings fall within the "normal" range yet still well below average for his age his doc isn't doing anything. I said to get a second opinion but will mention to him about the HCG.

Seeing that he has had tests done and the base level is known, do Doctari's PCT and see where it ends up after that. If its still low - change to a doc that is actually clued up. If hes been keeping up with trends he will consider TRT.
My father had the same problem until the doc went to a seminar in the USA - came back a new Doc!
