Nolvadex /kessar during entire cycle

hi all

i have been researching using Nolvadex and found the article below on a reputable site. whats the feeling of using tamoxifen throughout an entire cycle of test cyp and eq. the article below says that its actually preferred over AI's as its not as harsh and having some estrogen around has muscle building as well as cholesterol benefits. if the general consensus is its ok to use, then i would use 20mg/day with 50mg proviron for 12 weeks. article below. whats the feeling on this guys

Nolvadex and Gynocomastia
This drug is used as a first line defense against breast cancer. In the late 80´s, Dan Duchaine speculated that it could also be used by bodybuilders to halt the development of another type of tumor in the mammary gland, Gynocomastia. He introduced this find to the Steroid-using-community in his "Contest Prep" issue of the UnderGround Steroid Handbook Update Newsletters (the contest prep-issue was actually 3 issues in one, for those who had a subscription to the newsletter).

Nolvadex is commonly referred to in quite a few ways: as a SERM (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator), as an anti-estrogen (that is actually incorrect, as we will later see), and finally as a triphenylethylene. I happen to stick with calling Nolvadex a SERM, because out of my three options, it happens to be correct (as we know that calling it an anti-estrogen is incorrect), and pronouncable (as we know that I have no idea how to say "triphenylethylene"). Selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) act as either estrogen receptor agonists or antagonists in a tissue-selective manner, lets see what that means to us&

Nolvadex actually has quite a few applications for the steroid using athlete. First and foremost, it´s most common use is for the prevention of gynocomastia. Nolvadex does this by actually competing for the receptor site in breast tissue, and binding to it. Thus, we can safely say that the effect of tamoxifen is through estrogen receptor blockade of breast tissue (1), especially since total body estradiol increases with use of tamoxifen. Clearly, if you are on a cycle which includes steroids which convert to estrogen, you may want to consider nolvadex as a good choice to run along side them.

Nolvadex Cycle
Nolvadex, however, is not the most potent ancillary compound we can use on a cycle, but it is probably the safest considering it doesn´t actually reduce estrogen in your body keeping some estrogen floating around could have many benefits on muscle growth, as well. Estrogen is also important for a properly functioning immune system, and not only that, but your lipid profile (both HDL and LDL) should also show marked improvement with administration of tamoxifen (4). Many bodybuilders actually use this stuff during their cycle for the health benefits provided by it. If, however, you are preparing for a bodybuilding contest, you need to use something which will suck most (if not all) of the estrogen out of your body. I am speculating that you may be able to use Nolvadex for the majority of a contest prep cycle, to keep yourself relatively healthy, and then switch over to Letrozole for the last 8 weeks.

Nolvadex also has some important features for the steroid using athlete. In hypogonadic and infertile men given nolvadex, increases in the serum levels of LH, FSH, and most importantly, testosterone were all observed (2)(3). The best (rough) estimate I can give you from my research is that 20mgs of Nolvadex will raise your testosterone levels about 150% (5)...and this would of course greatly aid post-cycle-recovery. What this means to us is that if you take Nolvadex after a cycle, when you are trying to raise your levels of testosterone, LH, and FSH back to normal, it will greatly aid recovery. In fact, if I were limited to just one compound to aid me in post-cycle-recovery, Nolvadex would be my choice. If you want a comparison, it would require 150mgs of Clomid to accomplish that type of elevation in testosterone, but nolvadex also significantly increased the LH (Leutenizing Hormone) response to LHRL (5), after 6 weeks.

Some of the more harsh ancillary compounds available today will give you a more "dry" look that nolvadex can´t, but nolvadex is simply safer to use in long (over 16 week) cycles.

Nolvadex Side Effects
Unfortunately, Nolvadex isn´t perfect. Anecdotally, it has been linked to reduced gains in some bodybuilders. This isn´t due, as previously thought, to its reducing estrogen levels (which it doesn´t), but rather to it´s ability to possibly reduce IGF (Insulin-like-Growth-Factor) levels, which are important for muscle growth.

Personally, I´ve had many successful cycles with nolvadex as well as without, but I can certainly testify to it´s effectiveness in preventing gynocomastia. Back in the late 90´s I purchased 30 tabs of 10mg Nolvadex for $30, and recently I have found it for much less on various internet sites. It´s well worth the money.

Please read my article on Nolvadex and you will clearly see it is a dangerous compound that can cause cancer and has a whole list of other side effects.. Adex is safe on your body and doesn't have a negative effect on cholesterol. Nolvadex also will DO NOTHING for FSH / LH while on a cycle, also Nolvadex will do nothing for that massive bloating and all the other dangers associated with estrogen, high blood pressure, acne, etc. All it will do is bind to the ER and not very effective at that.

So ONLY use Nolvadex when feel nips get sore and puffy Pump ?

Then wait until you can afford an AI Hulkie. Everyone knows that running Nolva during a cycle is not the best option. Besides something like LP Letro is dirt cheap.
Running a cycle without a proper AI is just stupid.

Hulkie you use Nolva as an instant first line defense while the AI's fine stability, stop the Nolva once the sensitivity, itchness, tingly sensation, what ever is gone, then continue with the AI, that is the only time the Nolva can help, as an AI can't do anything for free estrogen, that needs to work its way out so then its advised to use a SERM during this phase, and only then, come off and if your nipples start to go funny again, start again up your dose, etc till you find a comfortable dose on XYZ of ABC gear.

JA, Its a widely debated topic, isnt it.

Personally i feel there are way too many articles and studies out there that show how hepatoxic kessar is for it to be taken lightly. Consider how much of a battering your liver will take over a 12 week cycle whereby you front load with dbol and back load with winny AND STILL in between all this you're popping kessar ed AND STILL doing a month's pct with it?! Not a good idea in my very humble opinion.

I would say maybe use kessar on cycle if:

a) You are not going to be using any other hepatoxic (17aa) orals (dbol; winny)
b) If you're running a simple single estered test course (cyp; enanth; prop)
c) Your weekly dosage does not exceed 500mg

Having said that though - Im with pump & shaun here. Adex is best bet even though the price is stupendous!

Agree Shaun its stupid but i used much higher doses test in past and then added Arimidex.

This short cycle of 100 test prop eod and 50 winnie eod with 50 mg proviron daily i reckoned I wont need arimidex

Now right nipple slliiighhhtly funny...So will take my nolva that I have on hand like pump also suggested ..just to stop it quick.

Letro..I have read too many things about Letro being to harsh and even read here how guys are struggling for months with limp dick cause of it..So im very scared of using it. Should i get Ari now and fook the budget or try LOW dose Letro ?

Use 0.3mg's EOD of Letro and you'll be fine,but don't go higher it's not worth it.

Well Pump is the guru on PCT and sides, and he doesn't like Letro much. Having said that, it works fantastically well for me. I just had to find my right dose. For me .3mg EOD is perfect (just 3 drops, using LP) Like Pumped said, low doses work well. It's when guys do those stupid doses trying to reverse gyno that it can really hurt you.
If you have the bucks and are still not sure then go for the Adex.
But imo Letro works very well at low doses.

Letro has its place, however it has some nasty side effects and heart health is a big problem with it, so long term use is very dangerous, that is why I favour adex + aromasin. However said that, Letro is very effective and has a number of benefits while on some cycles.. Like dianabol for one, I could never control my blood pressure while on Adex but 2mg a day of Letro kept the blood pressure under bay... Yes its an extreme dose but it was pretty much the only dose I could find to control it.. So again, it has its place just one needs to not compensate a few extra hundred bucks just because Letro is cheaper.
