TRT for depression was created by Apoc21
Hey Guys, New to the forum.

I just started my TRT protocol.

I am now on my second month.
Initial treatment was

Test cyp 1 ml per week + "AI" (200mg)
.5 ml HCG per week
proviron 1 tab every second day
DHEA once a day
copper+zinc+selenium 2x a day
Vitanin D3 once a week (50000iu)
pt141 once a day.

from the second month everything is the same I just dropped the pt141 as it changed the tone of my skin too much to my liking.

The reason for me seeking the treatment was I am suffering from severe depression and the anti-depressants just isn't working anymore.

Since I started the treatment I can feel an enormous difference in my mood.

I cant afford the R3500 a month treatment through the doc, it can easily cover a few months worth of treatment through other channels.

my concern is the blood work and getting off the anti-depressants for good as my case isn't just the normal trt protocol you see by doing research on the web.

My original post was on this members post but became a hi-jacking so was adviced to start my own thread.

Continuing from the discussion on that thread.

Your Dr is not some lab making proprietary blends.. And going back to the anti depressants I don't take a single thing anymore, no antipsychotics, no antidepressants, no no stimulants (ritalin), no provigil, no memantine, no donepezil, no 'mood stabilizers', just testosterone.. So you can see my case I was on a bucket load of meds and I didn't need some GP mixing crap for me. I needed a skilled endo who knew what he was doing balancing my hormones via a script I take to the pharmacy.

Thanks for the reply, I am also on a range of meds and want to get off it as its just not working. I have been on the meds for 8 years now.

Going through the endo and getting you prescription through the pharmacy is cost less the the OP mentioned above? as purely just getting the test through him which he supplies out of his office costs R2k a month(4ml) which is ridiculous.

Pay less initially to see a GP who is NOT trained to treat this from every angel or pay more for someone who is.. My blood tests was 5k so that already shows that you only having a very small aspect of your endocrine system being looked at and any reference range you get can't 'mathematically' be aligned due to lack of context / not having the full puzzle or else its guess work.. You get an initial base and work from there.. If you want more information start your own thread as this is being hijacked now. The end of the day it's a couple hundred bucks for my treatment a month which I only need a new script every 6 months..

I am not sure if I am allowed to mention the clinic / doc. He did though do a full blood work (+-R3500)

Did you ween off the anti depressants and over what time-period?

What is your TRT protocol?

So I have come across these websites of 'clinics' / 'TRT Drs' and they do a diagnosis and then they do your shots for you in many of the cases and by the looks of it in yours 'make you a mix'. Tell them to go f*** themselves nicely.. They ripping you off.. If you have low test and you not no problem in injecting yourself or have someone to do it for you, get the script and get your medication. Normal starting TRT dose is around 100-200 every 2 weeks. My protocol has increased, but this is due to my bloods showing the need for it.

What was your Test levels on.

What was your DHEA on.

What was your E2 on.

What 'AI' is he giving you at what dose.

Why are you using HCG? Are you wanting to have kids, and if that is the case why did you chose TRT (I know you mentioned depression).

What was your Vitamin D levels on.

What is the point of the zink / copper / selenium, what are you 'medically' using it for?

Why are you using Proviron, is it by Bayer ?

Are you using the Pfizer 200mg/ml ? So you using 200mg of Test Cyp a week for 'TRT' or am I not understading it 'what is + 'AI'?

I think I can guarantee it's the same clinic/Dr based on an almost identical protocol.
He also gave me the Proviron, but I haven't taken any, and I just keep them on hand just in case.

Since my OP, I have now self-treating. I am doing 0.25ml (62.5mg) of test every 3.5 days (125mg per week). I dropped the masteron and the HCG, but may decide to cycle the HCG. Can't be 100% sure, but I was feeling better when taking it. I am still taking the DHEA, but only because I still have. My bloods show that my levels are up, so I might continue with the half-dose 12.5mg tabs. I was on the same 50,000iu Vitamin D3 tabs and my levels are also up, so I will continue with that as well.
As for the PT141, I did source more when I got the test, but I'm only pinning twice a week on the same days as the test.

At the price of the test, considering 10ml is basically a 20 week supply, it's a no brainer for me to self-treat. I am just wondering now whether any of our labs will run tests without a referring Dr?

Bloods were taken the day before my scheduled weekly injection @ 7:00 am.
My iron seems to be very low now, and I'm a bit worried about my PSA increasing.
The number in brackets was the end of 2018, after that is recent tests.

Vitamin D3 - (36) 69
DHEA - (5.7) 7.1
S-Ferritin - (71) 22.3 (on the low side now)
S-PSA - (0.37) 4.48 (on the high side now)
S-TSH - (1.59) 1.86
Insulin - (6.3) 3.7
Oesradiol - (68) 94
Total Test - 18.8 (22.2)
Free Test - 318 (561)
SHBG - (47) 25.3
LH - (2.3) 0.5
Corisol - (187) 237
S-Cholestrol - (4.5) 4.6
S-HDL - (1.2) 1.1 (also seems low)

What was your Test levels on.

Total test: 8.0 - 30 : 24.0 nmol/L
Free test: 180 - 739 : 361 pmol/L

What was your DHEA on.

DHEA-S: 4.34 - 12.2 : 5.33 umol/L

What was your E2 on.

E2: <192 : 85pmol/L

Why are you using HCG?

He said it was so my balls dont shrink and IF I want to have more kids, which I dont. Going to schedule a "snip snip" soon.

What was your Vitamin D levels on.

35ng/mL he added this to the mix as he said it will help with the feel good so basically helping with the depression.

What is the point of the zink / copper / selenium, what are you 'medically' using it for?

I honestly have no idea. Researching it myself I could see that Zinc help with test not converting into estrogen, and the copper to balance out the zinc, no Idea why selenium is there.

Why are you using Proviron, is it by Bayer ?

Yes it is the Bayer version, it is due to my SHBG being high

18.3 - 54.1 : 58.6 nmol/L

Are you using the Pfizer 200mg/ml

No the test he was using was from HD Labs. DepoJect

As C0die mentioned in his post he noticed the doc using mastaject as the "AI". I was not able to see clearly what he was mixing in with the test as the AI, and he just said its an AI.

Def the same doc.

I am sure you can still run the labs from the initial form he gave you, and log into the portal to view your results. It will still go to him but I doubt that he is constantly inspecting it to see if new results came in. He will only go and look when you are there for a visit.

I would personally report the Dr to the medical board for using underground steroids and have his license removed.. Absolute chop! Gives all Dr's who know what they doing a bad name.. You can't administer underground labs for TRT the doses are off, this I know first hand.

I would go to another Dr and get a script for Depo Test and Arimidex.

Muscleaddict is more precise with exact levels, so let him give his advice, I'm honestly just pissed at the moment in what you telling me about this Dr that I can't even think clear to advise.

Just coming back to your experience, how long before you got off the anti-derepressants?

Well my levels where silly low. My total test was 7.8 and free test 154. So I felt better within days.. i had been working myself off the meds for some time already but completed the process within 3 months of using TRT and then took about 3 months to get through the withdrawls.

Just know that I will never advise someone to come off psychiatric medication. That is something you and your psychiatrist need to work out. I have been doing this like I said slowly and he got to understand me, I also did cognitive behavioral therapy with a psychologist who also worked with my psychiatrist.. Make sure you ready for it, the brain saps, the lows the mood swings, not sleeping, cold sweats, disconnected from yourself, and and and, you know the story.. I have gone extreme cardio, not some cross fit guy but from only moving weights to cardio every day, 45 min to 60 min.. I wont miss a day, it's the med I'm using to keep my endorphins going.

Yeah I know the feeling. I went through a stage where we tried different meds as the one's I was on just wasn't working. Doc put me on venlor. Damn that sh!t was hard to drop. Worst experience of my life by far. After that I was too scared to try anything else. swithced back to original meds with higher dose. "Worked" for the better part of a year but after that it just went back to not being suicidal day in and day out to just coping. Few years later to when I get the treatment from the "dodge doc" I feel amazing. 1 week in I felt a major improvement.

Event though my numbers are not the lowest in recorded history but it definitely improved my life for the better. 2 months in and I wont go back.

Only you will know what you doing bud. I still continue to see my psychiatrist even though I don't use psych meds, he is still my once a month touch base as he can see right through me. All I can say from experience is that only cardio daily has made me replace my need for meds.. I don't drink, smoke, use weed, take recreational drugs or anything to disturb my mental state. Make sure you do this right.. and I would start off by staying far away from that Dr. Go to a new Dr and say that you are not comfortable with the treatment you received from your Dr you with and you would like them to take over your script. You need test only, and maybe an AI depending on your follow up bloods, hCG if you still want to have kids.
