Lowering SHBG was created by MJonny
Hi guys.
Got my bloods back.
Total test is 15
Free test is low
Shbg is High. Above what it should be.
Its the reason my free test is low.
Im taking magnesium g to help to lower it.
Ive read mixed feelings on stinging nettle and avena sativa and that low gi carbs can also increase it. But im trying to get lean.
How can I get my SHBG down?

Ideally you want to find out what's causing the high SHBG and then treat the casue and not try to just treat the symptom by taking stuff which is known to lower SHBG. If you've finished a cycle in the last few months, then you might just need to give it some time to come down and continue to supplement Mg or better some ZMA along with spinach, avo, maybe some nuts.
Did you test your E2, cortisol, thyroid hormones? All can have a big effect on SHBG and most things that affect these will affect SHBG. Are you getting enough sleep? Lack of sleep and stress will elevate cortisol and SHBG. Are you eating a very low carb diet? That can raise SHBG. Low carb is fine but if you're cutting and too low on calories that will also screw your hormones.
Age, weight, BF%?

Thanks MA
Age 36 Body Fat 14
I did start with magnesium glycinate.
And I did start upping my carbs.
Oats 80g in the am and 250 - 300g sweet potato with my pre and post workout meals.
E2 and thyroid are in normal ranges.
I can post them if u like?
