Bicep tendonitis- PLEASE HELP was created by lovelifting
Hello
I have suffered from Bicep Tendonitis for the past month and have not trained upper body at all since then! it seems to be no better and i am wanting to know what I can take to help it recover and I am loosing my mind not being able to train! I have seen online about BPC-157 and TB-500 and was wondering your thoughts of either of them or what I can use in general? Please help me as any athlete knows how horrible it is not being able to train.
Thanks In-advance

Hey Bud.

yes tendoinitis is a bitch! it is the most terrible thing to suffer from, tendonitis comes from very much over use, so rest is the first thing, also with tendons, the blood flow to them is terrible, so you need to endure the pain and get 1.) Dry needling done so increase blood flow there or 2.) accupressure massage which isnt going to be much better pain wise, or if you like me, both, i am sucker for the pain.

you need to also get rid of any inflammation, Omega 3's at 6000-9000mg daily aswell as curcumin, you dont really want to use too many medical anti inflammatory products for a long period of time due to the kidney issues they can cause.

look my advice isnt going to be the least painful, how ever after 2-3 weeks you should be able to get some form of training done. i have a client that has such bad tendonitis in the elbow from tricep work that he has had to have needles put into the joint, he said he has cried like a bitch it is so sore, but after 8 sessions he is able to train again, were as before hand it was so bad that he was not even able to flex his tricep.

Hey bud, had the same issue a while back, unfortunately rest is the biggest help you can get but I have seen and heard great things about BPC, especially for tendinitis issues.

You can home remedy it by icing the area frequently
Massaging and releasing muscle tissue in the forearms and shoulders(foam rolling, voodoo floss etc)
Make a conscious effort to not use the injured arm in day to day activities(seems obvious but still)
Light eccentric bicep curls to help improve blood flow to the area(only if it can be relatively pain free)

I believe I read somewhere that blood flow restriction training can also aid in healing, I might be wrong so you 'll have to read up on that one

It's most commonly caused by a muscle or tissue that is either over active or not active enough so try and see what exercises/movements you do cause it to flare up and avoid them.

As mentioned though, rest is the main thing here. Rather rest it up and let it heal instead of trying to push through the pain and causing permanent damage.

Hope it helps and good luck.
